WP:INDIA Banner/Mizoram Addition

[edit]

Note: {{WP India}} Project Banner with Mizoram workgroup parameters was added to this article talk page because the article falls under Category:Mizoram or its subcategories. Should you feel this addition is inappropriate , please undo my changes and update/remove the relavent categories to the article -- Amartyabag TALK2ME 01:16, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

I have put a merge tag with Mizo people because Lushei article is a proper subset of Mizo people, and no one in the world is Lushei right now; no one will call himself Lusei. We all identify ourselves as Mizo. If not merged, it should be in the same category as Slavic tribes, Germanic tribes or any other historical ethnic group which has been replaced by a new identity.

Of course under the mizo umbrella, distinct identities still exist, such as Pawi, Paihte because they still have their language (but many of them do not speak it, in favour of Mizo language); it's only the Lushais which no longer exist as a separate group. Disagreed

[edit]
  1. The Lushai (natively, Lusei) still exist! I am Lushai clan, and it is still written in the Indian Schedule Tribe list also. --Zoval (talk) 04:13, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
