Race lap record
[edit]@SSSB: F1.com will not update it. The time is updated when is beaten during the main race with a distance over 300 km per F1 regulations, not over 100 km of a stupid sprint race. Island92 (talk) 20:41, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Island92: Lap records are not defined by F1 regulations. Lap records are the fastest lap ever set during racing conditions. Either F1.com update it, or F1.com are wrong. It's not complicated. SSSB (talk) 20:57, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Apeiro94: it might be highly likely that the current record (1:24.319) can be beaten in the RIGHT race today, without displaying Leclerc record set in the stupid sprint, despite being race conditions. Island92 (talk) 11:39, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Island92 and Apeiro94: let me clarify where I stand. Either we can put that Leclerc currently holds the lap record, because he does. Or we can go down the WP:VNT route and we can remove the 16 "lap records" listed in the table that are WP:OR and the 7 which are completely unsourced; leaving just the lap records for MotoGP and Formula One (because using a PDF of the results for one race to verfiy a lap record is WP:OR) FYI, if any track article wants to exceed C class, this second option will need to be done anyway.
