Lule River
[edit]I'm not an expert on Luleå, but this river must certainly have some significance for the city in various ways. That it isn't even mentioned once feels rather weird. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:E3:7F19:A66:F86D:3BEB:8EAB:18AE (talk) 11:27, 15 December 2024 (UTC)

[edit]The pronounciation of Luleå is not correct, the Å is pronounced in standard Swedish. Aaker 16:12, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
The demograhic table is comparing apples and pears, not taking in account the different territories due to municipal amalgamations. The present population should be about 45,500. --Muniswede 12:06, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Climate
[edit]The table of the climate in Luleå seems to be wrong at least the temperature if you compare with:
Temp in Luleå almost the last 10 years
It would be good to know on which data the temp. based on. --Stephan Herz 07:47, 19 June 2007 (UTC), lives in Luleå since two years..
- Yes, at least the summer temp are too warm. This link here gives a July average of 15C, which is far more likely. Orcaborealis 18:42, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- The source stated does not corresponding to the actual link, as it will take you to a different webpage. Here is the link to world weather information service for Sweden, and Luleå is not on the list. I suggest we either delete the table or use the information given in my first post here, from worldclimate.com. Any other suggestions? Orcaborealis (talk) 15:38, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Facebook computer center
[edit]Article is wrong. It reads "The computer center is the largest one in Europe, with 84 m2 which is comparable with 11 football fields", when 84 m2 can hardly be that large. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.0.177.233 (talk) 18:12, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
Done Eleven football fields equal approx 84,000 m2, not 84... Thomas.W talk 18:25, 23 May 2016 (UTC)

Is Dr. Hansson a notable person?
[edit]The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Headbomb removed my addition of Johan Hansson as a notable person, because Headbomb claims that Dr. Hansson needs an article to be notable. But, a criteria for notability states: "The person has received a highly prestigious academic award or honor at a national or international level." Dr. Hansson won honorable mention from the Gravity Research Foundation in 2023, which is a highly prestigious academic award. Gravity Research Foundation Dr. Hansson has met the criteria for notability. What say you Headbomb? ([User:Headbomb]) ScooterMcGruff (talk) 10:48, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- No. As detailed on my talk page, the GRF prize is a minor prize, and he didn't even get it. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 11:46, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
