_ _ I removed the diacritical mark from Špik in the piping of his Category tags, so he will lie in the alphabet of the various Cats among the S names, instead of utterly alone following Z (and following e.g. Žukauskas).
_ _ It is important to note that this does not affect the spelling of his name on the Cat pages, that being determined entirely by the title of the article. (While i don't know enough to have an opinion about whether the diacritic should appear in the title, i note that there are titles including what appears to be the corrsponding Ž character in their titles.) _ _ As to a separate issue, i do believe that whichever spelling (with or without diacritic) the article has, the other of those spellings should be the title of a redirect pointing to the article. If i simply created the redirect, it would (probably) take an admin's assistance to interchange the titles between the rdr and the article. In order to have a redirect there, but not interfere with changing which title has which role, i am about to take the following steps:

  1. Move Luka Spik to Luka Špik
  2. I'll opt for the side effect of moving this talk page to the title the makes it the talk page of the moved article.
  3. In both cases, an unavoidable further side effect is creation of a redirect from each old title to the corresponding new title.
  4. Move everything back, e.g. Luka Špik to Luka Spik
  5. Because the redirects already mentioned were created by the previous move, and the move is a move back to the previous names, the move tool has no problem wiping those redirects out.
  6. Again, redirects are created, but "in the opposite direction" from the previous ones.
  7. Again, if someone wants to move the article and its talk page to the with-diacritic titles, the move tool will do it even if that person lacks admin status.

[edit]

My intention is to correct the absence of a redirect, and to leave any editor free to participate in efforts to arrive at the proper title for the bio article.
