I'm not sure what to say about this. It is not the specific Luyia language, yet a group of languages/dialects of which the latter is part. It might be the kind of thing that ISO-639-5 provides a listing for; it might be something I need to learn more about from the point of view of potential localisation strategies. But it also has me wondering about criteria for articles 1 notch above the "language" level - these are often necessary, but not always. In any event, the very generic ISO-639-2 code of bnt seems of limited use in this context (go far enough up the genetic classification and of course you end up with a generic code).

I removed the "ke" that was listed in the ISO-639-1 position, as I could not find such a code at http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/English_list.php --A12n 23:26, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comparison of Marangoli with other World Languages

[edit]

This section seems pointless. It's a listing of words that happen to share similar form with similar-meaning words from other languages scattered all over the word--which, unless you're a Proto-Worldist, mean nothing.

And, given that Italian doesn't use K, it looks like "Sindika" is a misspelling of "s'indica" (but I can't be certain on this).99.157.207.7 (talk) 00:00, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
