[edit]@Somedarkwax: I've deleted the page because ultimately there's nothing here that shows that Valentine now passes notability guidelines. All he generally seems to be known for is Slaughtered Vomit Dolls and unless you can show additional coverage for other things he's done, I don't see where he particularly merits his own page at this point in time. I've redirected the page to the film's article, but you can use this talk page to show additional sources for Valentine. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:57, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
@Tokyogirl79: Hello, thanks for the information. But I think he is important enough to have a page because he caused controversy with his documentary "black metal veins" and have a cult following beacause of his "Vomit Doll Trilogy". Also, the fact that his real name and identity remains secret is an interesting point. Some think he's a random director that didn'T wanted to associate these low-budget films to his name. Maybe I can search more informations about these elements? -Somedarkwax 20:44, 16 February 2015
- You'd have to show where he's received coverage in reliable sources (WP:RS) for something other than the Vomit Doll Trilogy. You can always contest the deletion via deletion review, but you'd have to show some good sources. Unfortunately the thing about controversy and the identity fact is that unless those points have received coverage in places like news outlets and the like, they won't be points that would count towards notability. They can make it more likely that there will be coverage, but it's not really a guarantee. That aside, I am a little surprised that some of the horror sites (Bloody Disgusting, Fangoria, etc) haven't given him a little more coverage since while he is extremely niche (putting it mildly), you'd think that they'd cover it just because the shock value alone would make for an interesting article. This should be recreated
[edit]Hello,
I am requesting recreation as Lucifer Valentine has received significant media attention since this page was locked in 2011. He has made many new movies, committed crimes, and been given awards. Additionally, with the way this is set up, we would have to make several pages for each individual movie that all include information on him, rather than have 1 page that discusses him connected to the several movie pages. He was also in a documentary called Beyond Horror: The History and Sub-Culture of Red Films in 2019 which means he meets notability guidelines. He's also mentioned here , here and here . If he's notable enough to have a Fandago page and sell his 2015 movie (not in the Vomit Dolls triology) at Booksamillion, I'm sure he is notable enough for Wikipedia. He also has over 19 film credits now. CherriGasoline (talk) 04:08, 27 April 2022 (UTC)
