Wire wheels: Wire wheels#On motorcycles says only main article: Motorcycle construction#Wheels, but that is not a main article, it is a subsection. Bicycle wheel is a better article, but none of these 3 actually explains how spokes support the wheel pre-stressed w/compression.
I don't get how the motorcycle will slide outward when it loses traction. It should slide tangent to the curve. It's true that subjectively it appears you're traveling outward, but you're still traveling forward, so the actual path of motion will be in a straight line, tangent to the curve. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.93.134.101 (talk) 09:34, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
