This article focuses heavily on new distilleries. In my opinion more relevant information would relate to the characteristics of the products, history of whisky making in the region, and typical methods of production.
The largest paragraph also seems to be speculative about the possibility of Daftmill bottling whisky soon without any references to support the idea. Furthermore, it states that young single malts "are usually only marketed in countries like Italy," implying that there is some characteristic about Italy that makes this common practice, but does not state what that characteristic is.
I would be more proactive about making changes, but that is best left to someone with more knowledge about single malt in this region.
I'd like to know about generalizations on style (such as unpeated or not smokey) if any can be objectively made about Lowland single malts. I do like the compiled list of the currently producing distilleries. Halconen (talk) 15:43, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The article introduces seven active distilleries, but then lists eleven active one further down. If you go to the Bladnoch distillery's page, suddenly, it is only six. Someone closer to the topic should clean this up
