Actually, there is no such term in painting. We can talk about sfumato, chiaroscuro, tenebrism style. The term "low-key" was coined by Edward Weston (Pepper #30, Nautilus et caetera). Than we have a few contemporary photographs. I'll try to improve this stub. Robertgombos (talk) 19:52, 9 July 2017 (UTC)
