Why feature Cher in the first place?

[edit]

As the article states, this (IMO brilliant) song has been covered by countless artists. I don't understand why Cher and her album or single is featured here in the infobox. Perhaps an image of the Everly Brothers' version should be here instead, or nothing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sigma-w (talkcontribs) 14:19, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the article clearly states that the Everly Brothers were the first to record it and that Nazareth was the only act to make it a major hit so why is it being made to look like a Cher song? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.84.0.235 (talk) 08:15, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Cover

[edit]

You're forgetting one thing: the spanish cover performed by Yndio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYa5a2tvrbM ElMeroEse (talk) 19:46, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is no article at the English Wikipedia for Yndio. It could be that the band and its cover is not actually notable in the English speaking world, or it could be that it's an oversight here at Wikipedia and you could help us understand their international notability by writing an article for the band and perhaps one for their discography. The admins won't let me, because they see me as too biased. I tried writing a Pocos Pero Locos article, but they think I'm advertising. Someone else will have to do it.ElMeroEse (talk) 22:42, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree wikipedia needs to write an article on Yndio. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Caramelcarmz (talkcontribs) 05:21, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Songwriting credit

[edit]

The article credits Boudleaux Bryant alone, but Felice and Boudleaux Bryant credits both Felice and Boudleaux Bryant.

I'll try to get to the bottom of it.

It seems the Felice and Boudleaux Bryant article is incorrect: https://www.bmi.com/news/entry/20030422_renowned_songwriter_felice_bryant_dies_at_77

Nazareth version

[edit]

I would classify it as metal, not blues rock. The Mo-Ja'al (talk) 23:24, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Gram Parsons, The Fallen Angels & Emmyloo Harris

Not worth mentioning? Emmyloo Harris at the start of her career ... [1]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RGu8pWbru0&t=13s&ab_channel=Amoeba 217.149.169.12 (talk) 18:54, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
