(This is my first article so please bear with me!) The "works" section of this article, in which I've attempted to list all Swanton's published works, might need to be fleshed out a bit... or perhaps removed (though I presume articles about writers are generally meant to include a "works published" section)? The only source I could find listing her works was published in 1842 ([1]), and since she lived until 1881 this obviously creates some issues, chief among them being that some of her most notable works -- only one of which I knew offhand (translation of Uncle Tom's Cabin) -- were published later in her life. I know this because of other sources (as I mention in the main body of the article) list famous authors she has translated, a number of which aren't included in the 1842 publication (like Dickens).
I'd really appreciate some advice on whether or not to keep the "works" section. She's not incredibly famous (hence the lack so far of a Wiki page) but is nevertheless an important and interesting figure. Perhaps it's not absolutely necessary to include her works? I've hedged my bets so far and gone with "Selected Works" (meaning there's some leeway for missing information) but do think it needs to be fleshed out a lot if it's being kept.Raven.mcbovril (talk) 04:24, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
