[edit]Barfe's controversy on Twitter should at least be mentioned. This is Barfe using a homophobic slur: https://twitter.com/AlanKelloggs/status/881871231707959296 which is then noted as such by another Twitter user here: https://twitter.com/SomaticJet/status/881874498773028864 and is subsequently discussed at length by Barfe himself: https://twitter.com/AlanKelloggs/status/881893419915898880 And his original comment was discussed at great length by other users, notably here: https://twitter.com/ubercoca/status/881873987617378304, and here: https://twitter.com/ScaryNewDad/status/881874262218481665. - This appears to be an entirely non-notable Twitter spat where both sides are trolling each other. Picking a handful of individual messages out of context - which itself is Original Research - in order to try to create a "controversy" which is not supported by any Reliable Sources is not what Wikipedia is for, and is against the policies of Neutral Point of View and Biographies of Living Persons. If it were to be reported on the front page of the Daily Mirror then it might be a story, but it's not the role of individual editors to try to 'bring attention' to isolated comments which are not of proven relevance, accuracy, reliability or notability. - He did also call the grieving son of a World War 2 veteran "an utter cunt" https://twitter.com/AlanKelloggs/status/1065603217042665472. 92.22.209.107 (talk) 18:00, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- Not notable. Those accounts (and/or linked personnel and followers) have traded insults for some time, before any bereavement. People are rude online all the time - simply not notable or of interest to anyone. Bonusballs (talk) 19:02, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- Please provide a citation for Harry Leslie Smith's account insulting Louis Barfe or amend your statement. Also please clarify what you mean by accounts plural or name them. Currently it looks like you are saying Harry Leslie smith's personal account was trading insults. If this is not the case please make this clear. 92.22.209.107 (talk) 19:17, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- And who are you, exactly? Bonusballs (talk) 19:38, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- There's no need to become hostile. I'm merely someone asking you to back up a statement you made or delete it. 92.22.209.107 (talk) 20:16, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- It clearly matters more to you than me - have clarified, if you feel the difference is important. Bonusballs (talk) 20:21, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you. I have requested further clarification on which specific accounts you are talking about. 92.22.209.107 (talk) 20:30, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- If you're aware enough of Barfe's writings on Twitter to the extent that you're bringing them up here, you're clearly able to see the history and well able to see this for yourself. This page is for discussion of the Wikipedia article, not general chit-chat or single-issue axe-grinding. Bonusballs (talk) 20:39, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
