Why the change from Carlton to Omega?

[edit]

I'm not sure why User:Racerstreet moved this from Lotus Carlton to Lotus Omega. The car was designed by Lotus in Hethel and built in the UK. The continental Europe marketing name should therefore be secondary to the home market name. I'll plan to move the article back to "Lotus Carlton" unless there is some specific objection. --ColinMB (talk) 22:55, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vauxhall Omega is already redirected to the Opel Omega article. Opel Omega is also the main article for the Carlton Mark I & Mark II with far more Information. If the Lotus Carlton would have been a UK only product then Carlton would make sense for this article.--Racerstreet (talk) 23:13, 6 December 2014 (UTC) of course it should be Lotus Carlton. The fact that its a Lotus means it should use the UK name.Zachlita (talk) 06:24, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
