No need

There's absolutely no need for this yet. Maybe after season 3 is over? Or we actually know anything about it other than that it will happen. The note on the main Lost article saying it has been picked-up for another year is enough. Tphi 14:17, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

68 Days?

I thought it was up to 91 on the day that Jack called Naomi's ship. And considering the Season 3 finale, this season might not even be set on the island. --Kudzu1 06:28, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

For the record, this got fixed. --thedemonhog talkedits 20:31, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Guest characters

I've removed the guest characters from the article. Here's my reasoning. We could assume Rose & Bernard are back, but then you would have assumed they would have been in the first 20 episodes of Season 3. For all we know, the actors schedules will not permit them to appear at all this year.
Even characters who we've been told will probably return this year (ie. Libby, Hawking) cannot simply be assumed will actually appear. Cuse/Lindelof originally stated we'd see Libby last year, and we didn't.
Simply put, we can't list them here until have solid confirmation they will be physically on set shooting. Anything else is conjecture. Maybe Malcolm David Kelley has said something to that effect, in which case, fair enough. But Dominic Monaghan certainly hasn't. Tphi 13:49, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

While it is extremely unlikely that Rose, Bernard, Alex and Karl will not return at least once this season, it has been explicitly stated that Walt and Libby will, as is cited. For the record, I did not add Dominic Monaghan. --thedemonhog talkedits 18:00, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Does Ausiello report fall under the description of "official broadcasts, information taken from the ABC website, official LOST websites, official episode descriptions, or interviews with cast/producers/writers/directors" or a spoiler website? Just sayin'... Tphi 02:12, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah. Give me something that hasn't. This page is super heavily sourced. I still do not fully understand your initial comment. And sign your posts with four tildes, like this: "~~~~" without the quotation marks, which will display your IP address. I don't use this site often enough to make an account. And most of the characters on the list,i've heard nothing of them for the season (YET.).I'm sure they'll all appear but, even though, how do we know if they're main, minor,or guest stars yet, when filming hasn't started yet?-SLJCOAAATR —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.229.233.168 (talk) 18:35, August 25, 2007 (UTC)

GA fail

Is this a joke? It's not even started airing yet. Alientraveller 20:32, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

It was not a joke. I know that it has not started airing yet, but the page is going to hardly change from now until January, which seems stable. What is on the page is factually accurate, well written, neutral, broad in its coverage and is illustrated by images. Oh well, maybe I can get some kind of award for having the fastest failed good article nomination ever (one minute – check the history if you don't believe me). --thedemonhog talkedits 20:54, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
I think the article is very good, but it will change quite dramatically within the next year, which means that the reviewed version would become obsolete in short order. I think calling it a joke is rather uncivil, but I agree that it should have failed. -- Scorpion0422 21:42, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Lost crossover with chuck

anyone know if this rumor is true that there will be a lost crossover in chuck? http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.17.58.149 (talk) 16:57, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

It is probably true but not from an official source (crew, cast, ABC) so it cannnot be mentioned in the article. I would guess that it would either be like in "Homecoming," when Charlie's girlfriend mentioned that her father had bought a paper company in Slough (referencing The Office) or when Kristin said a year ago that one of the Lost characters would get a superpower like in Heroes (she was referring to Desmond. –thedemonhog talkeditsbox 17:11, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Something is happening: at around 7 minute 40 seconds into 2nd episode Chuck is having a some of data flashes, and he says something along the line of "Oceanic Fligh 815 was shot down by ... subterranial ..." A lot of it is not recognizable, but setup is here... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.52.130.15 (talk) 21:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

We should still be able to use it, TV Guide is a notable source. Meaning even though we can't flat out say it's the official title for the episode, we can still say that TV Guide has reported it as the title. --DocNox 06:21, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

The Economist

According to TV.com the third episode of season 4 is called The Economist. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 222.154.176.180 (talk) at 7:57 AM on December 1, 2007 (UTC).

TV.com can be edited by almost anyone, so it is not considered a reliable source. Thus, we cannot cite it in the article and it has been decided that spoilers will only be mentioned if they have been verified by crew, cast or ABC. –thedemonhog talkedits 08:07, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Flashforwards and Flashbacks

Ok.....so I just wanted to say in advance that I hope that it isn't mentioned whether an episode has a flashfoward or flashback in this page, or even in the list of episodes page. I know wikipedia allows spoilers, but that doesn't mean we have to mention them. If someone wants to find out whether they are flashfoward or flashback, they can just click on the individual episode page. I know I may seem selfish, but I really don't want some things to be spoiled, and I'm sure others think the same way. Please get back to me! Thanks. (Wikirocks2 (talk) 04:27, 10 December 2007 (UTC))

Hiya. First off, the List of Lost episodes page does not include any summaries to begin with. Secondly, Wikipedia is a body of knowledge that grows with verifiable sources. And thus, when there are verifiable sources that indicate the plot of an episode and whether it is a flashback or flashforward, chances are the information will make it to Wikipedia. Sorry to be so blunt, but if you do not want to be spoiled, don't check Wikipedia. -- Wikipedical (talk) 04:31, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Ok, so I understand that they will be included, but I just wanted to know if they can only be in the individual episode articles, and not on this very page [LOST (Season 4)] (Wikirocks2 (talk) 04:35, 10 December 2007 (UTC))
As of now I think it's impossible to decide since we aren't at February yet. You're safe until then, wink. -- Wikipedical (talk) 04:43, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. lol (Wikirocks2 (talk) 04:44, 10 December 2007 (UTC))
I have the same gesture with Wikirocks2 in a way. Reading this article does not mean we want to view spoilers but rather information regarding the 4th season. TJ Reyes (talk) 09:41, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Charlie in Season Four Preview

I paused it at the right time and took a screenshot. its at 23 seconds in the preview. Looks like Charlie.

Thanks, but I already know and wrote this into the article a week ago. See Lost (season 4)#Characters. –thedemonhog talkcontributions 19:23, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Trailer

I haven't seen the trailer yet, but shouldn't we mention on this page. (  Wikirocks  06:58, 19 December 2007 (UTC))

There are actually twothree trailers with new content. They could probably be linked somewhere. If you don't want to be too spoiled (as you said above), then don't watch the 1:43 version. –thedemonhog talkedits 07:03, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Greg Grunberg

In the article it says "Guest star and friend of Abrams, Greg Grunberg, who played Flight 815's pilot, will reprise his role, but not in a way people might expect". I went to the source cited and it doesn't mention anything to suggest what I've highlighted in bold. I don't know if I should delete that bit of the article or what, I'd rewrite it but I'm sure someone else with a better grasp of grammar should do it. --PigManDan (talk) 00:03, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

I removed the end of that sentence. It is from another interview that he did. –thedemonhog talkedits 00:17, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Broadcast history

I have seen the adds on channel 7 (in Australia) that they will air season 4 in Feb. Should we add this? Щіκі RoςкЗ(talκ) 05:17, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

No, I think that we should just have the original broadcasters so that the list does not get long. –thedemonhog talkedits 15:39, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Yes, as long as Lost is popular in Australia. WP articles should serve the needs of their readership ... richi (talk) 23:01, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Well I guess LOST is pretty popular. They have started advertising it heaps. Щіκі RoςкЗ(talκ) 05:14, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

They NEVER show ads. here...SLJCOAAATR 1 (talk) 00:01, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

News

I found two great interviews that can really help this page. I'm not sure if you've seen them, but they are great:

The second one is way better, and Damon Lindelof said that all flashbacks will be relevant to the island storyline! I would include the info myself, but I am not visiting the page until I have seen the first 8 episodes, just to avoid spoilers. OMG! "The Beginning of the End" is showing tomorrow! Shame here in Australia it doesn't show for at least a week. Anyway this is not a fan forum. Please tell me what you think of the sites. ЩіκіRocкs talκ 03:18, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Are you downloading it? Thanks for the links. That second one is one the best Lost interviews out there. I am really busy (in real life) right now and actually have like twelve sites saved in favourites that have information on season 4 that I can add to this article, so I will be adding that information in days, not hours. –thedemonhog talkedits 04:43, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
No [I am not downloading it]. Channel seven has confirmed that they will be fasttracking it, which is why I asked if it should be included before. I really enjoy adding to this page, but I hate spoilers more; so I will probably be invisible for a while. Anyways I will be on the lookout for more sites and interviews. ЩіκіRocкs talκ 05:06, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Ratings

OK! No one replied so I'm rewriting it. Could we have a ratings table for each individual episode, please?! One like this would be great! ЩіκіRocкstalκ 06:42, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Instead of a table, we are just going to have the highlights in a prose reception section, like in Lost (season 3). –thedemonhog talkedits 16:41, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Well that's good and all, but why not have one? The prose is not approriate for episode by episode ratings, while a table is. We could have both. The one I talked about looks really good, and even just a simple one would be nice. ЩіκіRocкstalκ 01:16, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
I had a look at the table for Desperate Housewives as mentioned above, and I think it looks excellent. Souces shouldn't be too hard to get, and prose with a table would be really nice. I support a ratings table. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 12:00, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
I am going to start making one soon. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 12:23, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
We don't always need episode-specific information on this page. We only need ratings highlights and the table will likely be gone by FLC. –thedemonhog talkedits 17:18, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
So...even if I do make it, you'll delete it? Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 07:13, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
What is meant by "ratings highlights"? To me, that sounds like selective representation; like you plan on only mentioning episodes that received very high ratings. I would say that if ratings are going to be posted, they ought to be posted for every episode, to give a more accurate representation of how the season fared overall. Ham Pastrami (talk) 00:18, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I made a new section at Lost (season 4)#Ratings (edit conflicting with your invisible section). It doesn't mention the very high ratings; instead, it mentions the season average, high, season low, premiere, finale (in the future). I think that this suffices. –thedemonhog talkedits 00:51, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I like your section. But why can't we have both a table and prose? Together they look great. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 01:02, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
We could, or we could reserve the specific ratings for the episode articles.  :) –thedemonhog talkedits 01:10, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
...well it looks like I want the table, and you don't want it. I don't want to argue, but I really like the table. Maybe we could find consensus among other users? Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 01:12, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
(On another note, could you please remove the "running average" section? I just can't do it. And can you make the ratings of "the Beginning of the End" bold? I don't know why I can't do it.) Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 01:34, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Hopefully this will bring in more opinonated editors. –thedemonhog talkedits 05:26, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Another thing working in my favour is that the table is largely duplicative of the episode table. Ideally, the episode section would look like List of Heroes episodes, but many people's screens are set to a low resolution. –thedemonhog talkedits 04:48, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
I would love it if the list of episodes is like that of Heroes. If the list here was like that, I would be extrememly happy, but I can see why it is not. The only thing I am confused about is why you hate the table so much. I don't see anything wrong with it! Sure, it is very similar to the episode table, but it has completely different information. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 06:26, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Status

I notice that a few days ago unregistered IP users have made edits changing the official acting status of actors Davies, Leung and Mader from recurring guest stars to full main stars (here and here), without mentioning a source or reference. Since that contradicts the available official releases, including the latest as of 4 Feb. 2008 (here), but on the other hand those changes have been left in the articles, is there a way to reliably confirm from official sources if the status of those three actors has been changed or not ? -- Asclepias (talk) 00:15, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

They are listed as part of the main cast on-screen. –thedemonhog talkedits 00:58, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Follow-up question : was that from episode 1 or only from episode 2 ? -- Asclepias (talk) 01:45, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Both. –thedemonhog talkedits 02:17, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Lack of sources?

Fact: Juliet is the featured character of episode 6. Source: n. 84 in the article. The problem is that I can't see in the source n.84 nothing saying Juliet will be featured in episode 6... --79.23.227.145 (talk) 13:37, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Chiudo. --79.23.221.161 (talk) 22:52, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
It's not the best source, but at point Mitchell says she was recently reading a script where she was the featured character. The interview happened when the sixt episode was in production. –thedemonhog talkedits 23:10, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

A few passing comments

Not complaints, not constructive criticism, but rather a few things things that could be fixed to potentially make the article better as it will (eventually) have to obtain good or featured status at some point to maintain the Lost Seasons featured topic status. Only a few points this time.

  • The Future storylines section needs to be cleaned up IMO, and it should keep being cleaned up after every week. At the moment it's looking rather fancrufty and not especially well-written. Half of it is just sentence after sentence of "This will be explained. This will be addressed. This will be explored. This will be revealed. This will be shown. This will happen."
    • "Episodes will continue to feature flashbacks, in addition to flashforwards, which have revealed that Jack, Kate and Hurley escape the island..." In the final sentence we also have "Damon Lindelof said that while "the show hasn’t entirely abandoned flashbacks..."" Can these be combined, or at least put next to each other?
    • As I said, this place should need cleaning up after every episode. We already have "It has been hinted that there is no boat coming to the island; however, whoever is coming to the island is "a lot worse" than the Others." Is this referring to the helicopter arriving instead of a boat, and the Outsiders (or whatever they've been called) arriving? Because that's borderline future storyline - they have already arrived. And all the other stuff that's supposedly going to be "explored, addressed, explained" should be removed pretty soon after it's been explored, addressed or explained in a new episode.
  • Just thinking about the heading title "Broadcast history" confuses me. I'm by no means an expert on any aspect of the pre-production, production, post-production and broadcasting processes of producing TV shows, but I did think broadcasting was the live airing of an episode. This section seems to fuse together three paragraphs of pre-production (writers planning the season and series), what I thought would be "broadcast history" (i.e. timeslots and the Waikiki premiere) and production/broadcasting (producing episodes before/after/during the strike). Maybe I just need to have the title explained to me, or maybe there's a more suitable one, but I don't see how these three paragraphs can collectively be labelled "broadcast history".

Sorry to bother anyone who was bothered :) •97198 talk 08:46, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Here in the UK, Sky One has said that it will premiere the next episode after the hiatus (The Shape of Things to Come) "in a few weeks". I assume this means it will be broadcast first in the UK ahead of it's broadcast on ABC in the US. Is this worthy of some note in the episode table? Astronaut (talk) 23:26, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

It already is. 16:11, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure why it not says on the infobox that there are 14 episodes. I know they have extended it, but surely the 14th hour counts as part of episode 13, just like the Season 3 finale counted as one episode. Should I change it back to 13 episodes?--Baker1000 (talk) 11:23, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
I just presumed it was 14 episodes, but I'm not sure. Everywhere else says 14 too, so I say just leave it. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 11:43, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Well I've changed it. The episode table in the article lists it as one double length 13th episode. Saves confusion for anyone who doesn't know it was extended.--Baker1000 (talk) 18:04, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Number of episodes?

Lost article: season 4 is "13 episodes long, including a 2 hour season finale".
This article: table with 14 episodes, whereas the text of the article says it has 13 episodes.
Lost Season 4 Template: 13 episodes.
Maybe you don't know what's the right number of episodes, but can you (at least) have an only view about that? 79.25.198.142 (talk) 16:51, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Everything should read 14 episodes, as ABC considers (for now) the finale 3 separate episodes. I thought we changed everything, but some things may have slipped through the cracks. Jackieboy87 (talk) 16:53, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

I raised this question above although at the time the table on the artical had only 13 episodes listed.--Baker1000 (talk) 23:31, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Once again this page doesn't match up. The info box says 14 episodes, as does the ratings table. The episode list table has "13/14" as a single episode. What should be done?--Baker1000 (talk) 18:54, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Why is There a Picture of Zoe Bell on this page?

I agree that she really isn't important enough of a pic. She had a voice cameo in one ep., a quick cameo where she commited suicide, and a brief mention. I say no pic. of Regina. Perhaps Frank, and Keamy. Which brings to the matter of How the hell is Micheal a MC when Frank, and Keamy made like, tice as many appearances than him? Yes, the Wikipedia Lost community has a hard-on for Ms. Bell. What really happened is that before the season started airing, it was revealed through interviews that certain actors would be appearing in guest roles. I looked for free images and found and posted ones of Zoë Bell and Jeff Fahey. Except for the episode list and ratings chart, the article has barely changed since (because I have been busy and lazy). Regina ended up being a small role (correction for above: her voice was heard in three episodes via satellite phone), so feel free to remove the picture. You may run into problems if you insert pictures of Frank and Keamy. And I agree that it is ridiculous that Michael is a main cast member and Frank is not when Frank has appeared in more than twice as many episodes as Michael thus far this season (Frank has also appeared in one more than Miles). –thedemonhog talkedits 05:42, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, what's wrong with having the picture? A picture is a picture. I'd rather for it to be there; to give an illustration of who Zoe Bell is. If you really want to remove it, replace it with the picture of someone else, rather than just removing it full stop. Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 07:47, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, from my point of view, why have a pic. of someone as minor as Regina, when we have more important characters like Frank (Yes, we have a pic. of Jeff but, how about his char. instead of his actor?) ,and Keamy. Even George Minkowski, Naomi, Gault, and Omar had larger roles! So, i believe the pic. of Regina should be replaced by Keamy, and Jeffs replaced by Frank. I'd add the pics. but, whenever i try doing so, i some how screw something up... Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR_Soul_Striker_of_Vengence (talk) 15:25, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

OK, I HATE the picture of Jeremy Davies, would anyone mind if I replaced it with the picture on Daniel Faraday's character page? Or would it be deleted because of some fair use argument? Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion

I prefer the one that you just added. I think pics. of the ACTUAL chars. instead of their actors is alot better anyway.Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR_Soul_Striker_of_Vengence (talk) 19:47, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Changed the pictures, what do you think? Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 03:15, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

I think it looks quite good right now. ;) Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR_Soul_Striker_of_Vengence (talk) 00:43, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Now we've got Micheal at CC'07, and casting for Matthew Abbadon.Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR_Soul_Striker_of_Vengence (talk) 14:09, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

I prefer Faraday over Abbadon. What happened to the picture of Garcia? Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 14:15, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Don't know. Guess someone felt the need to change the pics.?Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR_Soul_Striker_of_Vengence (talk) 19:11, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

18-49 Ratings

Someone changed the table to say that the ratings were for the 18-49 group, but I've been putting overall ratings for the past couple of episodes. Before I change it, does anyone know if the ratings for the first 8 are overall or 18-49? Jackieboy87 (talk) 15:03, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Wait, that's supposed to be the age group that watches Lost? Sorry, i really don't understand the key under the table...Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR_Soul_Striker_of_Vengence (talk) 00:38, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Please indent replies with ":". All the rating and share numbers in the table right now are 18–49. –thedemonhog talkedits 03:53, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Title

Don't mean to sound pedantic, but the boldface title elements of the lead aren't supposed to include links. Cliff smith (talk) 01:10, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Technicalities

This seems a bit finicky... the whole idea of the flashforwards in that episode aren't five random characters but the Oceanic Six as a whole, until they go their separate ways and have various interactions. Even if Aaron doesn't technically have a flashforward he is featured a lot, probably as much as a little baby could. - Joshua368 (talk) 03:37, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

After the episode "Hearts and Minds" aired there was a huge edit war over whether the episode was Boone centric or Boone AND Shannon centric. After a lengthy discussion, the consensus was to only list characters under "Centric Character(s)" who had flashbacks (and by extension flashforwards) from their own point of view, regardless of how much another character is featured. Jackieboy87 (talk) 12:34, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Tenses and other issues

If there'll be any chance of the article passing WP:GAN, there needs to be a pretty thorough copyedit. Biggest problem I saw just looking briefly over the page was tenses. The majority of the article was whipped into what it is today before the premiere, and it looks like nobody's bothered to switch much from future tense to past tense. I mean, really. The fourth season will air new episodes Thursday nights at 9:00 - Forgive me for thinking the season had finished. These kind of tense errors are all throughout the article. I'm also wondering why we've got a section for seasons 5 & 6. The article is titled "season 4", is it not? It looks like someone got what used to be the "Future storylines" section and just changed the title. And the funny thing is, lots of it is still about season 4: Decoy endings have been shot (Oh, they've started filming seasons 5 & 6, have they?); Not all the survivors make it off the island (You think?). I'm guessing since the article was quick-failed as a GA on its first nom because it hadn't aired yet, that it's just been nominated again immediately under the assumption that it now meets all the criteria. Looks like it hasn't been considered that things might just have changed since last September, when most of it was written. —97198 talk 03:31, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

I guess the appropriate changes will be made by the time the article is actually reviewed. I see no problem with the article being nominated so soon, and it is worthy of GA satus (once the changes have been made). Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 03:58, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
I agree with 97198. With the exception of the ratings section (Cornucopia) and the episodes section (a copy-vio), the article was basically written by me—primarily in September with a paragraph addition in November—and the article has been mostly untouched with the exceptions of the two aforementioned sections (and half of a paragraph regarding the outcome of the writers' strike (by Jackieboy87, I believe). Considering I was planning on decimating/merging this "article" soon for featured list status, I would not have nominated it. In conclusion, I would not bother with a copy-edit, unless you find yourself with some free time and are unsure of what to do with it.  ;) –thedemonhog talkedits 04:20, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

GA Review

This review is transcluded from Talk:Lost (season 4)/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

I'll be doing the GA review for this article. Here are some suggestions for improvement:

  • The article is missing a reception section. The other three Lost season articles have one, and this article doesn't fulfill the breadth requirement for GA without it.
  • Image:Lost season 4 cast.png is marked as low resolution, but isn't. It needs to be scaled down a bit.
  • November 21 is wikilinked in the article, but later in the article March 10 is not. It is best to be consistent throughout.
  • "The production team was in talks with ABC to add an extra episode to the current season, which would bring the total to 14 episodes.[43] Shortly after, it was confirmed to be a reality.[44]" --> The production team later convinced ABC to add an extra episode to the current season, which brought the total to 14 episodes.[43][44]" - less wordy and gets the same point across.
  • In characters, the wikilink for Other should occur the first time it is mentioned.

Another well written Lost article. It will be on hold for seven days to allow for improvements. Nikki311 01:46, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

I fixed the last three points. Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 07:18, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
I was on my way over here to remove this from GAN only to find that a review has been done. You compare this to the other season articles, but they are FLs; not GAs. Please see the above discussion. And I scaled down the image. –thedemonhog talkedits 02:10, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok. It is your choice. I have no problem with deleting the GA nom outright. Nikki311 03:00, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Whatever thedemonhog says. Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 08:49, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
User talk:Thedemonhog#RE:Lost (season 4): thedemonhog said to discontinue it, so I guess that's what I'll do. Good luck with the FL nom. Nikki311 22:06, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Changes

All right, I have been changing or rather, mass deleting sourced information, to better meet featured list requirements. While I appreciate the work that has gone into this page from Jackieboy87 and Cornucopia, if this page gets too long, it will classified as an article and will not meet the featured article criteria (see Smallville (season 1) for a featured article on a season). Besides, most of the removed information is in the episode articles. Here, I will discuss the two most controversial of the changes that I wish to make. First of all, I still think that prose will suffice in the ratings section. Secondly, I do not see the point in the DVD release section. The left side of the table is on "Set Details", but the information presented is already assumed by the reader (contains all episodes, in English, has optional subtitles and it does not matter to me what sound system they use so long as I can hear it). The bottom—"Release Dates"—of the table is already in the infobox. And the right side about "Special Features" gives no details other than the titles of the featurettes, so I think that we can lose it. The DVD will still be mentioned on the page, but briefly, in the lead. Thoughts? –thedemonhog talkedits 20:50, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

My idea for a while now has been to just include the number of viewers as part of the episode list as other shows (e.g. Heroes) do. The only problem is that season 4 would be incongruent with the other seasons on the episode list page, but I guess the transclusion could be changed. As for the DVD, I preferred the separate page for all the DVD releases, but I guess the info (bonus features, etc.) isn't that notable anyways. Jackieboy87 (talk) 01:03, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Page looks really good! I wouldn't mind if the table for the DVD releases was to be removed, and for it to be replaced with prose (table looks kinda messy anyways). We all know my view on the ratings table; I like it. If it has to be removed, would you mind placing it someplace else, if there is such a place? Shame to see sourced info go to waste. Corn.u.co.pia ŢĐЌ Disc.us.sion 05:58, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
I sepererated the reception and ratings table. I know the reception mentions the rating, but errrrr..... I still think it warrants it's own section. Page looks neater too. Corn.u.co.pia ŢĐЌ Disc.us.sion 08:44, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Here's what the table would like with viewers added: User:Jackieboy87/Sandbox. It's kind of wide and might break tables on smaller resolutions (I'm viewing it at 1680x1050 and it's fine). I also made other changes such as changing aux1 and aux2 to writtenby and directedby in keeping with the standard episode list template. Any comments? Jackieboy87 (talk) 00:42, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
I am at 1280x1024 and the tables are already broken, so I support this. –thedemonhog talkedits 02:25, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Nice. Corn.u.co.pia ŢĐЌ Disc.us.sion 03:27, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Lost Season 4 , Region 2 DVD: Released 27th October?

Region two was released today (20th October), well in the UK anyway. I bought it! The article is wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.96.131.189 (talk) 00:40, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
