"Lift" by Brett Bixby
[edit]Brett Bixby's song "Lift" sounds like it may be the original music sampled for Lose Yourself. Can any source confirm or deny this? Lochlyn.Christante (talk) 03:27, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
"Go 'round the outside"
[edit]Hey I just heard this so I checkin up on it. The song Buffalo Girls on Malcolm McLaren's Duck Rock album (1982/3), has a sample just like that, it says "two buffalo girls go round the outside, round the outside, round the outside." Is this in reference to something which predates Duck Rock to which Em is also referencing? Or is this the actual reference? In some ways it makes sense since their both 'caucasian' rappers. The results of this research should be noted somehow breifly in the article for the song. Here's were I heard the buffalo girls song first,[1], it could be a hoax, or a re-mix, or anything, I'm not making assumptions, but I'd like to know. thanks! Xsxex 18:29, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
I think you might want to discuss this at the talk page for "Without Me." --206.26.199.146 00:02, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Please put sources, some claims of #1 are false
[edit]In Japan, Lose Yourself peaked at #12 in it's 5th week. It could've been an international #1, but not a #1 on the oricon chart. See so here: http://www.oricon.co.jp/ find Eminem's artist page it shows his peaks for albums and singles. Ayumi4u 03:06, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
"popular online video"
[edit]I added this particular YouTube video (even though it was only viewed little over a thousand times at the time I found it) because it seemed to be the most complete edit of all that I've come across. As the video has been submitted numerous times, its true viewership is far above this and consequently unknowable. —Nahum Reduta 10:57, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
A Grave error
[edit]In the year end charts section, (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Lose_Yourself#Year-end_charts)in the "Eurochart Hot 100 number-one single" area, the song In Da Club is bein credited as if it were by T.A.T.u. who here doesnt know 50 cent wrote that song?
Make this correction please if you are reading this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.24.88.39 (talk) 19:51, 1 February 2009 (UTC) I have this in my phone--84.249.160.78 (talk) 15:21, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
Contradictory statement
[edit]"Lose Yourself" became Eminem's second career nomination for Song of the Year (following "Without Me"), and the first rap song ever to be nominated for Song of the Year
Yeah ^ thats contradictory. How can it be his second nomination for Song of the Year and yet be the first rap song ever to be... doesn't make sense. Fresheneesz (talk) 09:01, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Worse yet, he must be from Windsor...
[edit]This article states: "including the ostracism by rap communities towards him due to his colour, and his difficult personal life..." Colour eh? Poor boy must be confused not only by his color, but his love of Tim Hortons, gravy on fries, and obsession with hockey...
