7600-7949 at SGV-3

[edit]

just an FYI, the following buses are in the SGV-3 division, used as reserve buses on Metro Rapid 751 and 780 in case some 45-foot NABI Compobuses are out of service: 7618, 7622, 7623, 7643, 7646, 7755, 7823, 7836, 7857, 7862, 7880, 7900, 7901, 7902, 7903 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.49.43.248 (talk) 18:02, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Division 6 (WSC-6)

[edit]

It should be mentioned that Division 6's buses are often without ATMS, as are all contracted lines --theperson10 {} 18:29, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well they do use ATMS on their NABI 45C and 1998 D40LFs. First Transit and Veolia Transportation just got new NABI 31-LFWs and they have ATMS and Veolia's 1998 D40LF 3016-3019 (Ex- Division 6 buses) but they glitch. They work well on the NABI 31-LFWs. The other contractor buses don't have them, but the recent transfer of the NABI 40-LFWs to Southland Transit does, but some of them don't even work. The ones that were here longer don't have ATMS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88777o (talkcontribs) 15:07, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Metro exercised option for more 45C-LFW?

[edit]

There is a picture of bus 8360. It has been suggested that 94 more buses have been ordered. http://www.subchat.com/buschat/readflat.asp?Id=167310 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cjm5150 (talkcontribs) 03:12, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About the Cutaways, they might all be retired or most of them due to a new NABI 31-LFW order that came in. But would like to give a list of them since they were never on the roster list on wiki.

[edit]

Here the list of cutaways that were with the contractors (They were never on the fleet list on wikipedia page):

1997 Ford/El Dorado Econoline/Aerotech #0025 Southland Transit
2001 Ford/El Dorado Econoline/Aerotech #12530-12534, & 12571 First Transit
2002 Ford/El Dorado Econoline/Aerotech #12535-12536 First Transit
2003 Ford/El Dorado Econoline/Aerotech #12537-12555 First Transit and Veolia

  • 12530-12534 Orginally was numbered as 8064-8068.
    • 12535-12536 Originally Pasadena #1764-1765.

Sources come from here: http://www.rapidtransit-press.com/mta.html Of course the roster was updated by someone early this year but hasn't been updated lately so its a little bit outdated. Of course it has other retired buses from the past that was never listed on wiki which is the Ex-Omnitrans RTS and Ex-Foothill Transit Gillig in the 800 and 1000 series. Edit: I will add the Ex-Omnitran TMC RTS and Ex-Foothill Transit Gillig phantoms (800 series and 1000 series they had once)

They were never put on the wikipedia LACMTA fleet roster not even on CPTDB LACMTA bus roster.

Of course in the past they were with MV Transportation and Transportation Concepts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88777o (talkcontribs) 03:37, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request 24 September 2012

[edit]

I have multiple requests that I believe are uncontroversial:

  • Please add the {{refimprove|section}} and {{original research|section}} tags be added to the top of the "Bus fleet" section. This should be self-explanatory.
  • Please remove all ELs to Flickr throughout the "Bus fleet" section. These appear to be used to support statements that a particular bus is retired; however, all they consist of is a picture of a damaged bus. It is somewhat of a stretch to say that any given bus is retired just based on a picture with no accompanying reliable source that explicitly says that that bus is retired. Remember that the audience of Wikipedia is the general public, not people with special knowledge about any subject matter. I am also in the process of vetting the ELs to news stories in that section, again because it is a stretch to say that a bus is retired just because it was in an accident.
  • Please remove all references in the wikispaces.com domain, which are mainly in the "Bus divisions" section. Wikis are not reliable sources. —KuyaBriBriTalk 14:18, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Page cleanup for Los Angeles Metro bus fleet (Phase 1 has been completed)

[edit]

I have cleaned up this page and remove some of the unecessary notes and removed Assigned Division from the Active list. The reason why I did this was because the entire page was cluttered. I completed Phase 1 of the completed, soon I should move on to Phase 2. I would like to ask all users to leave this page cleaned up, Thank you.

UPDATE: Clean up (Phase 2) for Los Angeles Metro bus fleet page has now been complete.

[edit]

The Phase 2 clean up for Los Angeles Metro bus fleet page has been complete. Things that were removed were "Assigned Divisions", unncessary notes, and clutter. With clean up now complete, clutter has been reduced to this page. Reasons why "Assigned Divisions" and unncessary notes were removed was because those sections were causing the page to clutter and the information is unsourced and not necessary to be put on this page, and this is not a Division assignment roster. If you want "Assigned Divisions" then you are welcome to create a Bus Division roster on a separated page and create a bus roster for all Dvisions and put i the buses assigned to each Division(s). I would like to ask users to NOT revert any edits on the clean up or you will be reported to adminstration for vandalism. Please leave the page cleaned up, Thank you.

The "Retired" list of buses (inculding the retired contractor buses) are going to a new page

[edit]

I will be moving the list of "Retired" and "Retired contractor buses" onto new page seprated page and it will be on this page called Retired Los Angeles Metro bus fleet page. The list of retired and retired contractor buses will be deleted from the Los Angeles Metro bus fleet page and will be moved to a new page, which I mentioned the name.

UPDATE: I have now officially moved the "Retired" list and "retired contractor bus" bus fleet list onto Retired Los Angeles Metro bus fleet page and I gave reference under retired list so people can know where retired list is at.

Assigned Divisions

[edit]

It seems to me that the listing of assigned divisions is unnecessary. Divisions are not notable (why would a normal reader care), the listing is uncited and since this information is constantly evolving, it is very difficult to know if this information is still correct. I vote that it be deleted from this page. --RickyCourtney (talk) 07:38, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bus series 7000-7214 & 5300-5522

[edit]

I removed the sentence saying "Currently being retired" because there are many of 5300 series CLF40 and very small amount of 7000-7214 are still running on some of the bus lines as of today. It's better saying some are retired and in the process of retirement rather than currently being retired. Once all remaining are retired later in spring or summer, we can remove Nabi 7000 series into retired la metro bus fleet pages. Thanks. 2600:1012:B06D:B327:0:1A:9446:F901 (talk) 00:16, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
