Accuracy?
[edit]Does anybody have an idea as to where the names of the authors were found? Shrillpicc100 (talk) 18:01, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
I feel glad to have added the plot summary for The Rise of Nine, since no one had done this previously. If there are problems and incorrect details, I apologise.. - Dragonsabre, December 11, 2012 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dragonsabre (talk • contribs) 12:51, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
- Offhand it looks good. The two biggies when it comes to plot summaries are that the summary must not be copyvio (you don't copy it off the book jacket or from something someone else has done) and it must be at least basically correct as far as grammar and spelling goes. It looks like you've done both offhand. :) Tokyogirl79 (talk) 17:06, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
The articles still need some help grammatically, some of the sentences are missing words, are structured improperly, or have the wrong words altogether. The storyline is pretty good, just needs a little help. Anybody have some free time? Alexamay1234 (talk) 08:45, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
Just a small mistake I only recently noticed: in the fourth book of the series (The Fall of Five), the article states that "Five lunges at [Seven] with his blade glove, only to be stopped by Eight, who has teleported between them." However, upon reading at this point in the book (near the end of Chapter 34, I believe) it is actually Nine who Eight teleports in front of to protect. Like I said, it's only a small mistake, but should it be fixed just for the sake of article accuracy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.108.77.88 (talk) 03:15, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
Critical reception
[edit]Critical reception says "both books" without stating which books. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.107.153.141 (talk) 13:17, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Removal of author names
[edit]In his last edit [1] User:Qworty completely removed the names of the authors from the article. I consider that quite relevant information and a great loss. Is there a guideline regarding this? --Irrdc (talk) 06:23, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- I have to agree, especially since there's multiple sources that state that Frey and Hughes were the original writing team on this. I'll re-add it and source it in the article.Tokyogirl79 (talk) 07:27, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Another edit by User:Qworty and now he/she removed the nearly the whole article. --Irrdc (talk) 06:09, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
- It looks like someone reverted it, but I've taken some stuff from the other articles to source the material. Qworty did mean it in good faith, though, as the article did lack sources. Just as a side note, if you see that something isn't sourced or needs work, feel free to add the needed sources or material to the article.Tokyogirl79 (talk) 11:27, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
Unsourced removed
[edit]I have now twice had to revert out the addition of unsourced crap from this article. Will Ikesham please explain why this article does not need to adhere to WP:V? Darkness Shines (talk) 16:46, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
At least the existence of the Lost Files series and the names and publication dates is proven by the Amazon link and the http://iamnumberfourfans.com/the-lorien-legacies/ linkIkesham (talk) 18:28, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
If I add just the names and dates of the Lost Files series will that be OK Ikesham (talk) 18:31, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
- Read WP:RS. That link is not one. Stop adding that unsourced tripe back into the article, do not restore it unless you have reliable sources for the lot. Any further reverts will be reported to ANEW. Darkness Shines (talk) 18:32, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
Is http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/3380908.Pittacus_Lore a reliable source for the dates and names of the books?Ikesham (talk) 18:58, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
- Right, First off, Darkness Shines, watch the language in your edit summaries please and don't refer to another editors additions as "crap". That is personal opinion.
- Secondly, Harper Teens website confirms the Fall of Five was published on 27th August, (http://www.harperteen.com/books/Fall-Five-Pittacus-Lore/?isbn=9780061974618), so that information in the least can say. -- MisterShiney ✉ 19:02, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
