The external link, http://www.lorenzo-lamas.com, leads to Lorenzo Lamas Motorcycles. Although this site is presumably owned by Lamas, it is more of a commercial business site relating to motorcycles and less about the actor himself. Is this an issue? -- Jmudge (talk) 20:12, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Content balance

[edit]

This whole page looks like it was written by Lamas himself "Lamas has posed frequently for press photographs without a shirt, revealing a remarkably hairy chest, which he now waxes to the chagrin of women " please how is this relevant?

"martial artist, primarily on soap operas, movies and television, playing mostly villainous roles, primarily of Mediterranean and Norwegian descent."

I think this sentence can be misunderstood, is it that he mostly plays villains of mediterranean and Norwegian descent, or that he IS of mostly mediterranean and Norwegian descent. The first is true, the latter is of course false. --Modin (talk) 02:30, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name?

[edit]

So something's not right about the names given in the article. His father's name is Lamas (i.e. Lamas y de Santos) and his mother's name is Dahl. So his name should be Lamas Dahl (Spanish convention) or Dahl Lamas (English convention). Is the supposed full name "Lorenzo Lamas y de Santos" documented somewhere? Presumably the only reason a son in Spanish culture would have his father's full name is if he were a bastard whose father had disavowed the son's mother. I presume that doesn't applied here.

There is no or "English convention" leading to "Dahl Lamas". The English convention is just Lamas. Str1977 (talk) 10:23, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct. If Lorenzo Lamas had been born in any Spanish speaking country his birth name would of been: Lorenzo Lamas y Dahl; but since he was born in USA his name has always been Lorenzo Lamas.Callelinea (talk) 19:48, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Clash of the Titans and his son with Ursulla Andress not mentioned ? surely this is the only real movie he has done with any acclaim. apart from that his career was mostly downhill. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.101.152.194 (talk) 01:45, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are thinking of Harry Hamlin. Harry Hamlin was in the Clash of the Titans and had a child with Ursula Andress...not Lorenzo Lamas.

Don't understand the reason for the "né" inside the parentheses in the first line since by being born in the US his last name is "Lamas" and there is no foreign-name-convention to follow. Why a 'special' notation when there is nothing special to notate?

Just curious. 2600:8800:785:1300:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 05:16, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

I have a picture with Lorenzo lamas from way back when he was on Falcon crest and he had short hair. He looks better with long hair.  :? 2601:1C0:6500:11C0:C9A3:54E1:9367:A017 (talk) 06:19, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
