Megaliths

[edit]

"...between 3,000 BC and 1300 AD" is an awfully big time span. That's 4,300 years in comparatively recent archaeological terms.

The article needs to be clearer about what this means.

Does it mean that the megaliths were created all about the same date (give or take 100 years or so), somewhere between those two dates, and archaeologists can't agree as to whether they are ancient, or medieval?

Or does it mean that the megaliths were created over a period of 4,300 years, with the earliest dating from about 3,000 BC and the most recent from about 1300 AD?

I shall watch for the answer. Amandajm (talk) 09:39, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In the references, #4, and 8 are broken, and 9 goes to the home page instead of the actual article. 2600:1702:1DE0:8FB0:C882:5EBD:B439:C5CB (talk) 02:03, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
