When the Avatar comes to Serpent Isle in search of [[Batlin (Ultima)|Batlin]], Blackthorn even assists the Avatar in his quest, albeit without revealing his true identity. <!-- Is this really so? I thought he left the monks before Avatar even arrives... -->
(The theory that Blackthorn stayed with the monks is merely speculation by a select group of fans. There is nothing in the game connecting the monk to Blackthorn, and it actually contradicts ''[[Ultima IX|Ultima IX: Ascension]]'')
Yeah, in the light of the article, I suspected it was the salt tide monk guy who refuses to tell his name, but it would be odd if the Avatar didn't recognise him. Oh well, I hope the rewording is slightly better.
Anyway, I didn't read the books in SI that well; did any of them really say that Blackthorn did stay with the Xenkans - is at least that an established fact? --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 20:45, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
