Orphaned references in Long Combination Vehicle

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Long Combination Vehicle's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "randmcnally":

  • From Federal Bridge Gross Weight Formula: "Federal Bridge Gross Weight Formula" (PDF). Rand McNally. Archived from the original (PDF) on March 8, 2003. Retrieved March 8, 2009.
  • From Glossary of the American trucking industry: Large Scale Motor Carriers' Atlas '05 (Map) (2005 ed.). Rand McNally. p. A13. ISBN 0-528-90063-3.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 07:37, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Potential merge candidate

[edit]

This topic could constructively be merged with Road train. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Streapadair (talkcontribs) 12:33, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds reasonable, given that Long combination vehicle and Road train seem to be synonyms, perhaps with different international uses. Given this, it would be helpful to have them in one place, allowing a more international perspective. Klbrain (talk) 07:32, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Support This article seems to have at most four sentences (the first two paragraphs) worth merging. it doesn't explain the meaning or significance of the huge table, so Wikipedia is unlikely to be where people who care would look for that information. --Scott Davis Talk 03:02, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Support. I agree with both Klbrain and Scott Davis's comments. However, I'm almost inclined to just delete it. And although somebody obviously put in a lot of effort into coding the big table, I don't think it's appropriate content for an encyclopedia. Adding the first two paragraphs would need some skilled blending in, too. DAHall (talk) 12:11, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The page looks ugly. Someone half deleted stuff. Great work! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikideas1 (talkcontribs)

Yes, the gallery of your computer-generated drawings has been removed. As repeatedly mentioned to you about this and other articles, Wikipedia is not your personal exhibition space for such work. Unencyclopedic content will be removed. --Kinu t/c 23:14, 21 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
