I suppose I could edit this in later, but if I forget, I should note that there were other problems with the L-2000. At he time the L-2000-7A/7B was built the design had no growth potential. The B-2707 did. Airlines wanted extra fuel reserves starting around 1966 as air-traffic was starting to get more congested (more planes, more air-traffic) and planes would have to spend more time in the holding pattern. The L-2000 and B-2707 didn't have sufficient fuel reserves for the Airlines' liking. AVKent882 (talk) 16:29, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
