Language of title

[edit]

Is there any particular reason that the title of this article is given in English? Admittedly, I'm unfamiliar with the guidelines surrounding these sorts of things, but it seems like the articles for other novelas (Qué pobres tan ricos, La fea más bella, etc.) are in Spanish. Cause of death in the "Cast" section

[edit]

So Zaca4 and Damián80 have been reverting back and forth about some additions of the cause of death of all the now-dead cast members in this show, but have not apparently made any attempt to undertake the "Dicuss" part of Bold, revert, discuss. From a purely content point of view, Zaca4, these edits are not looking high quality to me, so I am in favor of their exclusion. The problems I see are:

  1. There are no citations included here. I'm not particularly familiar with TV shows and how specifically this sort of thing needs to be cited, but it's definitely not favorable.
  2. I've never seen this before in another cast section. Generally cast sections are just the name of the actor and who they play. Sometimes they have a more tabular format such as in the Downton Abbey page, or they include brief character bios. Unless the way people die on the show is particularly relevant to their character, though, it's not clear that this content is sufficiently relevant for inclusion.
  3. Assuming the previous points are dealt with appropriately, these additions are simply not well-formatted. The text shouldn't be in bold, it should probably not be a three-column list if you're going to have explanations of the person's status. I think if the information is going to be kept, the cast page needs to be refactored along with it.

I'm sure you guys know this telenovella better than I do, so maybe you can take the discussion from there and make the appropriate changes to the page when you've reached an agreement / consensus on how to proceed. 0x0077BE [talk/contrib] 13:52, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information is to be avoided because it does not add anything interesting to the article, and on the subject of user, we have explained several times and even he knows it very well.--Damián (talk) 16:18, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This talk page has no record of that and no archive. Why do you think anyone would be able to tell that you've had this discussion? 0x0077BE [talk/contrib] 16:49, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It seems like Damian80 has given up on this page, based on his comments on the edit warring noticeboard. I'm going to revert to the version without the cast deaths as that seemed to be the stable version, presumably consensus version before this got started. @Zaca4: If you'd like to replace the causes of death, please discuss it here first. I've given my reasoning as to why I don't think they should be included, or at least address some of the issues I've raised above. 0x0077BE [talk/contrib] 19:44, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Can you let me keep that information, here okay?Zaca4 (talk) 20:06, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, no. You have not addressed any of my points, and you persist in edit warring over this. I'm worried that you may not have a level of English required to understand Wikipedia's policies or my arguments. Your latest reversion clearly puts you in violation of WP:3RR, which you've been warned about and reported for. The proper procedure is WP:BRD. You were WP:BOLD, then Damian and I reverted, then you discuss the changes to be made. Don't keep reverting back and forth, work towards consensus. 0x0077BE [talk/contrib] 20:38, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
