Date of J. Aron acquistion
[edit]I am editing the article in two places to reflect that Goldman Sachs acquired J Aron (the company which employed Mr. Blankfein) in 1981, not 1996 as this article currently says. This is correct (and sourced) in the article on Goldman Sachs, and is widely reported in press coverage in the fall of 1981. Morris (talk) 21:25, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
Jewish
[edit]The source cited for Lloyd being born to a Jewish family makes only 2-3 mentions of his name, none directly tied to any mentions of upbringing - related, "Jewish" only shows up twice in the article, and neither are in relation to Lloyd or any other specific person(s). --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 23:03, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- I inspected the source (The Independent), and here's what is says about this topic: "Lloyd Blankfein was born into a Jewish family of very modest circumstances in the South Bronx district of New York in September of 1954." That matches what has been written in the article. Some of everything (talk) 18:03, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

Congrats to everyone who made this complete whitewash of a notorious public figure
[edit]This is among the most whitewashed, sanitized Wikipedia entries ever made. How is there a gigantic article on "Goldman Sachs Controversies" and NOT ONE BIT OF IT made it onto the page of the guy who was CEO during that time? Look at the edit history and see what happens when anything remotely critical of this guy gets inserted here. This page is a masterpiece of reputation management and a spectacular example of Wikipedia's failure. Amateur editors are no match for people who are paid to game the rules. 207.181.223.32 (talk) 21:35, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- Just in case you have specific issues to raise or improvements to propose, you should state them here with sources and other relevant support. Otherwise your complaint is unconstructive and pointless. SPECIFICO talk 22:12, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- Is this a joke? You're the one doing it:
curprev 01:55, 11 June 2021 SPECIFICO talk contribs 40,942 bytes −1,142 Undid revision 1023687552 by Bvcqszj (talk) I know nothing about this matter, but it is not a "minor edit" so I am reverting this BLP text and suggest you raise your views on the talk page.
- So we're supposed to come on the talk page to add TWO SENTENCES backed by sources including Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal? Why are you policing this page so heavily? How about we import the contents of the 18 part "Goldman Sachs Controversies" page? 207.181.223.32 (talk) 05:05, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
