Autobiography
[edit]I have tagged this as an autobiography because the article lists very specific information about this artist's early life which is not supported by the attached sources, and is unlikely to be commonly known. The year of birth is not supported by either the source used for the lead, or the source used in the 'early life' section. The year also conflicts between the article and the infobox. Likewise, neither source mentions the parents' education at Brown, nor the hospital she was born at, which is obscure enough that it's a big red flag that something's a bit fishy, if not a dead giveaway. The article also includes a lot of WP:PEACOCK words and is heavy on details, which also suggest a possible conflict of interest, but these are common enough (and predictable enough) among contemporary artist bios to be manageable on their own. I've switched to a COI tag, since there is no direct evidence of an autobiography. Grayfell (talk) 05:05, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
I am new to this - so hope I did this right (with the hlep of KIWI IRC) - I removed the "unsourced" info. I was adding some sources to the bottom. Now - can the conflict be removed? NOTE: I didn't write the article. user:qvixen QvixenSSF (talk) 23:13, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
Massachusetts Artist active since at least 2005
[edit]This page has been up since 2016 and, in 2023, bears evidence of work from numerous sources. Probably LaManche's best known work here in Boston is the "Tattoo" in East Boston out at the wharves. I've done some work on the citations and deleted some of the language that doesn't fit with Wikipedia's standards but the national notice in media sources such as NPR (via Boston's WBUR) and the Washington Post as well as local media outlets at the state level suggests an artist working at a level meeting WIkipedia's criteria for significance.
