Contesting Proposed Deletion

The article is created after it was suggested to me by Wikipedia to translate a similar Wikipedia article in Hindi. I translated it because I found the topic fascinating and interesting. I thought the article is important for two reasons:

It is an independent article: Even though List of prime ministers of India exists, this article has more information and concise information regarding the living Prime Ministers. For ex. this article has info regarding highest and lowest number of living Prime Minister at some period of time that is not provided in above article. In fact, This article can grow even further and be it's own proper article.

It makes Wikipedia more relatable and close to people: Prime Minister is the highest and most powerful position in India, the largest democracy of the world. Majority of 1.45b people look up to them for inspiration. Living Prime Ministers are always one of the most talked about subjects in India. So, having this article means Wikipedia is giving people up to date and interesting knowledge on this topic. That makes Wikipedia more useful and relatable to 1.45b people.

This article can be considered a stub article like most other articles and may lack necessary appeal. But I certainly do not think it has less notability than almost every other stub article considering many of the stub articles in Wikipedia are either not updated or have very few information to be considered useful and this article it has a lot of room to grow. I hope this article is restored and grown. I in fact think, there should also be an article regarding living Presidents of USA since more US presidents are alive and are known worldwide. - JsEnthusiast (talk) 23:32, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the template on your behalf, as you've made your objection clear. However, I still think that the page is unwarranted, with the greatest of respects to India! List of prime ministers of India seems sufficient. Klbrain (talk) 00:57, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
