On 7th November in Sheffield, an obscure joke in the Dennis Waterman sketch was argued over and, due to public demand, was removed completely in subsequent shows. Lucas and Walliams apparently want to include it again for the run in the West End. -

Can anyone enlighten us about this? Sounds intriguing. There wasn't even a Dennis Waterman sketch in it when I went to see the show!

When i went to see Little Britain Live in Southend, there was a Waterman sketch. In the version i saw, there was nothing obscure that i could remember, just oversized version of normal props (which was done very well). The show i saw was in October, so before Sheffield's show, maybe it appeared in that show only-----Dar-zero 13:42, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wales is not a town!

[edit]

In the article wales is referred to as daffyd's hometown. Wales is infact a country, daffyd is meant to be from a vilalge called 'Llanddewi Bref' which is in Wales. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.159.231.144 (talk) 23:37, 7 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Rewrite

[edit]

This article is dire. There is little information on the actual performace bar the set list and a few anecdotes about hecklers in the trivia section. I haven't seen Little Britain Live. When I search for it on Wikipedia I want to be able to read what it's all about, what makes it different from the TV series, critical reaction, etc. As a stage show, a rewrite of this article in the style of a theatre article would be appropriate. Try this (bold are sections that must be included, italics are sections that editors can think about)

  • Intro
(which is currently fine)
  • Development
(why did Lucas and Walliams take the show on tour? When did they decide to do it, etc)
  • First night
(information about the very start of the tour -- nerves? jokes that didn't work?)
  • Critical reception
(summary of newspaper and other printed reviews which are fully referenced. Note: This does not mean your own reviews when you saw it or anecdotes about the performers swearing at hecklers)
  • International performances
(information about why the show went on tour in Australia. This is not a place to advertise the tour dates nor is it a place to put links to ticket vendors.
  • DVD release
(needs tabling)

The trivia section needs to go. Entries such as "The pair do research on the places in which they are performing and try hard to include that in the show." should be expanded and referenced and placed in the "development" section. "The show runs for 140 minutes with an interval." should be in the introduction. Full lyrics and transcripts are in breach of copyright laws and should not be included on Wikipedia. Brief quotes are acceptable.

Note I have just suggested some guidelines for the sections and editors should create additional ones as they see fit. 81.145.242.117 12:32, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great suggestions for improvement. I'm working on a rewrite now. Any other ideas, please add them here. --Canley 13:22, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
