The Lister Institute site is actually in Elstree Hertfordshire and it is located by Aldenham Country Park and Elstree Aerodrome. Bushley should in fact be Bushey but it is in Hertfordshire and not Worcestershire. The site is still here and many of the original buildings still exist including one of the old lodges (Queensbury) and the old Stable Block. The site now forms part of the UK NHSBT and is the site of Bio Products Laboratory the UK national plasma fractionator. The site is still identified on some OS maps as the Lister Institute despite being formally BPL since the 1980s. The details about the charity appears to be factually correct. 86.151.120.208 (talk) 22:20, 24 November 2008 (UTC) Thanks for the input - I have now made some modifications including these Cj1340 (talk) 10:20, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ashley Miles

[edit]

Greetings. I'm working on the history of the Birmingham Accident Hospital where my father spent most of his working life. I also worked there briefly as a student. I know Ashley Miles was part-time director of the hospital's MRC unit from 1941 & I have added a link from what I hope is a reliable source. I don't have the right background to write an article about Miles but would be willing to contribute to it if anyone wanted to do so. Regards JRPG (talk) 18:38, 24 September 2014 (UTC): THanks for the input - very useful and I will use shortly. Best regards Cj1340 (talk) 19:15, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dame Harriette Chick

[edit]

I'm updating Chick's personal page and wondered whether their were any objections to my adding her name here (she did write the History after all...) CastWider (talk) 16:47, 21 July 2015 (UTC): Thanks for the input - sorry for the delay in response. Definitely add Chick! Best regards Cj1340 (talk) 19:15, 29 July 2014 Cj1340 (talk) 11:34, 29 July 2015 (UTC) (UTC): Many hanks for the addition of Chick - very useful. Cj1340 (talk)[reply]
