Needs citation

I've been poking through Texas statutes, and as far as I can see "town" and "village" are synonyms in state law. See Title 2A.Sec. 5.903, 7.001, 8.001, 52.002, etc. See also https://www.tml.org/DocumentCenter/View/244/Types-of-Texas-Cities-PDF It all makes me wonder whether this topic shouldn't be deleted or just merged with "list of towns in texas".
