O2
[edit]The O2 arena should probably be added as it will be hosting the ATP World Tour Finals from 2009-2012, though it is debatable which table it belongs in. Postlebury (talk) 01:36, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I feel maybe the o2 arena shouldn't be here. It is used for lots of things other then tennis. It sets the precedent to add a lot of stadiums to this list.
- The ATP World Finals is a major tournament, so I think we can accept it - but it's clearly not a tennis-specific stadium so should be in the second list? However, the reference says that they were getting crowds of just under 35k for the two sessions which implies that although in "pop concert" mode it can host 20k spectators, in tennis court mode the capacity is "only" 17.5k. Talking of similar venues, the Albert Hall holds regular events for the wrinklies just before Christmas - I think it's the Masters equivalent of the World Tour Finals? I know its capacity in concert mode is 6k or so, it must be 4-5k in tennis mode? Le Deluge (talk) 23:58, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
Lindner FTC
[edit]The list of Tennis Venue Capacities has the Lindner Family Tennis Center center court as 10,500 --- it is 11,400 at least also at the same venue, their Grandstand holds 5,000 and their court #3 holds 2,000 - both permanent "tennis only" stadiums, but neither is on the list ???? source is first hand -- I volunteer at W&S Masters in Cincy 71.72.226.59 (talk) 12:39, 8 September 2010 (UTC) dp
Sportparkstadion Frankfurt
[edit]Shouldn't the Sportparkstadion in Frankfurt also be present in this list? It was used three times for the Fed Cup and has 4.800 seats: http://www.dfg-frankfurt.de/deutsch_franzoesisch/dfg_pdf/cupoflegends.pdf --ALE! (talk) 12:39, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
Combined list
[edit]I propose to combine the lists of men's and women's tennis venues into one single list. Not convinced in the first place that it is relevant to have two lists but there is a massive overlap between the two and therefore a lot of unnecessary duplication of content. A quick estimate is that 75% of the women's venues are also part of the men's list. We can easily combine the lists and if we still want to make a distinction between men's, women's and combined venues we can simply add a column with that info. Thoughts? --Wolbo (talk) 09:48, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- If the information is overlapping as you say and WTA events do take place at the same ATP event (venue-stadium) as indicated here Canadian Open - Masters 1000, WTA Premier 5 it makes sense to me I have no objections and support proposal--Navops47 (talk) 10:59, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- Per Navops47 I would tend to agree. Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:13, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- Agreed on condition that there is an indication, preferably a separate column on the table (in order to assist sorted-view) which would indicate that whether the court/stadium is a WTA or ATP or dual host. Loginnigol (talk) 02:37, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
- That sounds reasonable. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:23, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
- That option is offered in the proposal and seems the logical way to go to keep this piece of info.--Wolbo (talk) 09:55, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
- The lists have been merged into one table and a 'Tour' column has been added to indicate 'ATP', 'WTA' or 'Combined'. Some chronological sorting might still be required and a check if all the women's tournaments came across.--Wolbo (talk) 13:38, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- Rechecked the merged list and all the women's tournaments are present.--Wolbo (talk) 12:50, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Shanghai and Beijing had 15000 capacity before Wimbledon
[edit]So there's NO need to insert Wimbledon above the two others. That is ignorance-based editing which distorts and contravenes the order on the whole list. Loginnigol (talk) 12:37, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
