problem
[edit]There is no real definition of "buildings", however the list can well be divided in two lists. One list of actual buildings and another for tele communication etc. Bridges will then be included to the latter group. This is a solution used elsewhere. - You're the only one that seem to have had any problems with this, since this page was created in 2009. Maybe that says something about you, but I'll try to explain: Look at the lists in the navbox at the end of the page, and read the other articles about "tallest buildings in [insert region here]". (See this list about Europe, for example.) Note the lack of bridge pylons? (For example, the Millau Viaduct is not listed.) If you want to create a page called "List of tallest structures in Scandinavia" -- where it would make sense to include bridge pylons -- you are free to do that. That would be in line with the content of other similar articles. It does however not belong on this page. Gavleson (talk) 05:39, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
- That's not a list of individual buildings, but a list of most skyscrapers (>100 m) in each of the mentioned cities. Let's not forget that it was by the construction of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, in 1889, in memory of the French Revolution 100 years earlier (and the invention of secure lifts) which made skyscapers possible. I think there should also be a list of all buildings, but I accept the list as of now. But then I hope we only list decided buildings. (Else we get in huge trouble very soon, there are proposals of high towers (skyscrapers) also in fairly small towns. And 9 at the former Carlsberg area, of which only Bohrs Tårn is under construction. Etc. Isn't the skyscaper in Västerås tall enough, by the way ? Boeing720 (talk) 22:12, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
problem 2
[edit]Look, I may be way off, but what about Kaknästornet? While it's a telecom tower, I believe deserves a spot here. Are we keeping those away from this list? Any "veteran" here know what we're trying to keep on the page, and what to avoid? ~City (talk) 12:32, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Inclusion of Finnish buildings in the list
[edit]All recent changes to this article have been repeatedly reverted. Would the editor mind elaborating on why:
1) Finnish buildings should be included in a list of Scandinavian buildings? While Finland is occasionally included informally as part of Scandinavia, the local definition is that it consists only of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Either the article should be renamed to include Finland, for instance by changing Scandinavia to the Nordics, or Finland shouldn't be included in the list.
2) Updates to the completed buildings list were dismissed. Both Helix and The Point are finished since about a year ago.
3) Updates to the approved/under construction list were dismissed. I couldn't find any evidence of the HC Andersen adventure tower being approved by local authorities, and the Bestseller tower has been put on hold indefinitely. Tellus towers in Stockholm have also been cancelled in their latest form. I suggest these buildings are re-added to the list whenever approval for construction is granted. Proposed projects could potentially have their own list.

Yeah if someone could make sure that user "Po902" is banned from ever editing this page again would be great. There is no logical reason for why Finland should be included in Scandinavia. Zbrobin (talk) 17:13, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
