Discipline Listing Inaccurate

[edit]

The disciplines listed include history and philosophy as well as others which are actually Humanities. This directly contradicts the List of academic disciplines for the Humanities article which lists history and philosphy as Humanities (although that article has major issues in listing many other disciplines not in the Huamanities as well).

Agreed. History and philosophy are not considered social sciences, even though sometimes these things can be lumped into different departments that are more administrative than academic. 24.46.248.161 (talk) 15:59, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it is inconsistent with other listings on Wikipedia, although history can be considered a social science (see the explanation on the Social Sciences page). What's more concerning is that this list of the Social Sciences differs completely from the list within that article, which also differs from the list in the box under "Branches" in the same article. Several items from the list on this page—Environment, International Relations, Internet, Media, Politics, Social Psychology, and Social Work—are not discussed at all in the main Social Work article. This is not an outline

[edit]

Seems a list of topics, not an outline of the topic.82.171.225.84 (talk) 19:07, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
