Scope

[edit]

This article is entitled List of helicopter manufacturers and as such it should list manufacturers, with perhaps minimal information on relationships with parent and subsidiary companies. There is no scope to add company histories and lists of aircraft produced, as that should be in the article on the company itself, not in a list article. - Ahunt (talk) 23:19, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why are Autogyro manufacturers listed on the page?--71.246.30.208 (talk) 17:30, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can also ask why does List of rotorcraft manufacturers redirect to this page! I would suggest that this article should be moved to that title instead and include all rotorcraft manufacturers, since there are some that produced many different categories of rotorcraft. - Ahunt (talk) 17:54, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Since there have been no objections to this proposed move in two weeks I will go ahead and carry that out. - Ahunt (talk) 14:27, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How do I suggest a link to a webpage for this Wikipedia page, without being offensive to Wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.204.102.142 (talk)

Discussion is rarely offensive. What is your suggestion? - Ahunt (talk) 20:26, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. I also have a suggestion for a link: www.helicopterlinks.com. While it's a commercial website, it seems to be the most comprehensive worldwide listing of helicopter manufacturers, listed by continent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.72.0.18 (talk) 18:00, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Doesnt really add anything to the article it only has a list of current companies, if anything it would be better to use it to check and improve this article instead. MilborneOne (talk) 19:00, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, adding it wouldn't make WP:EL. It looks too spammy to include. - Ahunt (talk) 19:31, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
