Powerhouse

Does anyone recall a Nick program from the 1980s called "Power House"? To the best of my memory it was about a group of kids who either worked or lived in a community center and every episode would solve mysteries or help people in need.--Husnock 04:47, 16 May 2005 (UTC)

Other networks shows

Shouldn't the shows not made for Nickelodeon but purchased as reruns be in a different list (Same page, but different section)?--Mikintosh 05:36, 14 July 2005 (UTC)

Add Nudnik?

According to Nudnik this cartoon was broadcast on Nick. Can anyone verify this claim? If yes, please add. DutchTreat 22:54, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Removal of Cartoons

Does anyone remeber my recent edit to this article? It was because of all the times I watched Nickelodeon, I never saw The X's, Mr. Meaty, As Told By Ginger, Rugrats, and All Grown Up. Last time I saw them, it was like back in 2005 or 2006. Does anyone know if these shows still air in the mornings? Because if they don't, they should be moved to Former Shows Superjustinbros. 18:00, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Some of the shows mentioned by the above poster are now not mentioned in the article at all, which isn't good as the were aired on Nickelodeon 209.244.188.142 00:41, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Article reorganization

Why was the acticle moved to alphabetical order?WWEFAN99 (talk) 10:42, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

I think the article was re-organized in this way for various reasons:
  • 1. To prevent inaccuracies in whether a program is currently or formerly broadcast
  • 2. To prevent any inaccuracies in air dates
  • 3. To de-clutter the article, as airdates are found on each individual programs article
  • 4. Easier navigation to see all programming
  • 5. To prevent bias of any kind

IT'S Better with the air date version and many people think the same!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarge100 (talkcontribs) 03:35, 25 May 2008

I agree with the no-airdates version for the same reason. The airdates version is a little too long. RJaguar3 | u | t 15:36, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Would it help to use a sortable table? TH1RT3EN talkcontribs 17:22, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

I like the air date version better AND iam not alone look at the history page. Lets have both on the same page or do a new page people can choose witch version--Sarge100 (talk) 18:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Poll

So, from what I can see, there are three options:

  1. Airdates version
  2. Alphabetized version
  3. Sortable table version

If you are in favor of one of these options, please put a comment below this statement. Remember that Wikipedia works by consensus, not voting, so comments without explanation may be devalued or ignored. RJaguar3 | u | t 18:46, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Sortable table version, as it allows users to select the layout. However, it may be difficult to put together. RJaguar3 | u | t 18:46, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Alphabetized version, I do like the air date version but it's completely unsourced and some dates may be completely false. --Caldorwards4 (talk) 23:07, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Alphabetized version, no question, for my reasons stated above. 53180 (talk) 00:18, 29 May 2008 (UTC)53180.
  • Air date version some dates may be wrong but not many. The main thing i like with the air date version is that is very detailed like Currently broadcast, future programs, reruns, animated, Formerly broadcast, Live action and blocks. Its easier to find programs with the Airdate version and the layout.--Sarge100 (talk) 13:37, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
I agree with you when you say some dates may be wrong,, that should be enough to end this discussion. It is also easy, and more efficient to find programs that you are looking for by searching the title in alphabetical order. What about the scenario when you expect to easily find a program title but it's not in the currently broadcast section as you expected? 53180 (talk) 01:07, 2 June 2008 (UTC)53180.
Then you fix it, or you perhaps you learn that your "currently broadcast" program has actually been cancelled! I find it far more efficient to hit the ctrl-F key and type in whatever part of the name of the show I remember; then it doesn't matter what order they are in. Do you often find yourself looking for shows for which you only remember the first letter or two? DHowell (talk) 00:45, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Alphabetized version, as even the proponent of using the dates says some may be wrong. Lambertman (talk) 15:09, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Air date version, I think it's a better way to sort the page. Even if some of the dates are inaccurate, it still shows which programs were broadcast in the past, and which are being broadcast in the present. The alphabetical version does not give any of that information. Slyfence (talk) 15:56, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
The title of this article does not promise or even suggest that it will tell you when programs broadcast. Programs can air for short periods of time in which it is expected that the program name be moved from section to section? Programming air dates can be found on each individual programs article. 53180 (talk) 01:07, 2 June 2008 (UTC)53180.
Many similar articles (Category:Lists of television series by network) do tell you when programs were broadcast, so there is a certain expectation. DHowell (talk) 00:45, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Air date version, the article was fine the way it was. Plus, with the alphabetized version, it's more confusing as it does not sort current programs from former ones. At least bold the programs that are currently airing, that's an idea. If this is going to be going to be an alphabetized list, then might as well turn it into a category. --SpongeSebastian (talk) 02:30, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
There is nothing confusing about an alphabetized list. Every program has a place and it is always in its place. The problem with a "categorized" list of any kind for this article would create confusion over what is a "former" or "current" program, which sorting into those kind of categories is irrelevant to this list. Having any bold titles would still keep the problem of which get bolded and which do not, as not all programs are permanently "former" or "current" as you suggest. 53180 (talk) 02:10, 6 June 2008 (UTC)53180.
I would expect "current" to include programs which haven't been cancelled and have aired in the recent past (between four months to a year) and/or will resume airing in the near future. I would expect "former" would be programs which have been confirmed to have been cancelled or ended, or aired in the more distant past (e.g. more than a year) and have no reasonable expectation to be renewed. "Current programs in reruns" would be programs for which no new episodes are being produced or expected to be produced, but are still airing on the network. Does that help clear things up? This is so regularly done on so many other networks' lists, I'm not sure why it would be a special problem for this one. DHowell (talk) 00:45, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Please Stop Changing!!

Whoever keeps changing it from the air date version to the alphabetical version... PLEASE STOP CHANGING IT!Change it back to the air date version because it looks more organized and you see the begin and last air dates. So please change it.--71.206.252.134 (talk) 19:46, 2 July 2008 (UTC)71.206.252.134

Tomorrow People

I think they're mixing up the original 70's version Tomorrow People, with the newer series. I don't know the exact dates Nick ran the original, but I used to watch it on Nick starting in 1982 so it was at least as early as that, and it was long off by 1989, but 89 sounds like it could be right for when Nick would've run the relaunched version. 76.226.137.59 (talk) 03:04, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Show broadcast dates

Recently I found out some broadcast dates of some old shows that were on Nick. I found an old newspaper archive on Google News and through newspapers like The Milwaukee County Journal and the Tri City Herald, I was able to look through some Sunday tv guides to find out these dates. Maybe someone can help me with this to find out dates for some other shows. Nickrj (talk) 20:27, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics

I need some help with this show. I've read that the show started in 1989 on Nick, but starting in June 1992 I saw in the tv guides the names of the episodes of the show instead of the show itself. (Example, instead of "Grimm's" it says "Iron of man".) Where did Grimm's air on Nick before June 1992? Were they during Special Delivery on the weekends?Nickrj (talk) 02:02, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Style and content guidelines for "List of programs broadcast by Nickelodeon"

Many Wikipedia users that have edited the article "List of programs broadcast by Nickelodeon" with unnecessary edits, creating falsified information about current programming in the process. Because of these acts, which in many ways constitute as vandalism: this guide to what can and cannot be included in the article has been created. Any violations of these rules on the article may be subject to prompt reversion.

What to include

  • Titles of programs that are currently part of Nickelodeon's schedule (which will be placed in the "Current programming" section and its associated subsections or in the current programming blocks subsection of the main "Programming blocks" section).
  • Titles of programs that have aired on Nickelodeon in the past (which will be placed in the overall "Former programming" section or in the former programming blocks subsection of the main "Programming blocks" section).
  • Upcoming programs that are produced or have been acquired by Nickelodeon, the title must be followed by the scheduled premiere date in parentheses (if it is a discontinued series in which reruns will be returning, the dates of the original run, with or without the dates the series were in reruns, must be included before the return date). Citations are necessary to be included to verify the information.
  • Dates of the broadcast run of all programs (displayed in the month date, year format); programs that are currently aired on Nickelodeon must include "–present" to note that it is a continuing program, while programs no longer airing on the channel must have start and end dates listed (it is plausible to include dates when discontinued programs were rerun on Nick after their original runs ended).
  • It is also plausible to footnote whether the program is currently on hiatus from Nickelodeon's schedule (i.e., the program is still technically in production but the series has been given a respite from the lineup for the time being, if there is no room for it on the schedule).

What not to include

  • Moving titles of discontinued series and program blocks to "Current programming" section, claiming reruns of a former series or a former program block will be brought back if no citations claiming such are made or if the programs are not actually on the schedule.
  • Adding footnotes that contain falsified information (adding information that claims the program is returning to the network if it is not, placing end dates for programs if the program is merely on hiatus but has been renewed by the channel, etc.)
  • Vandalizing of the article (including placing slanderous messages, fake program titles, putdowns or other personal thoughts or comments).
  • Including program titles in the section lists that belong to shows airing on competitors of Nickelodeon (including Disney XD, The Hub, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel and PBS Kids Sprout).
  • Including programs that are broadcast by other broadcast or cable channels, that have not or would likely never be acquired by Nickelodeon (shows like Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Winx Club are exceptions, as if another television network has given up rights to first-run carriage of a series and Nickelodeon has formally announced that it has acquired the program, the title can be included with a citation denoting such).

Citations are necessary to verify when new series (both acquired and original programming) are set to air on Nickelodeon, to avoid other users from removing information if they see fit that it may be false. To confirm the presence of a newly acquired or original program is coming to Nick, consult entertainment websites (e.g., The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, etc.) and especially websites specializing in news on the Nickelodeon channel (including Nick and More and Nickutopia, in particular); citations are only necessary for upcoming series, once the programs have had their first broadcast, the citations can be removed upon the titles move from the "Upcoming programming" section to the "Current programming" section.

To verify if a former program is returning to the channel, consult television listings (including but not limited to electronic program guides, online television listings or print listings); it is noted that Nickelodeon typically does not release specific program information for more than one week in time and program information for the coming week is often only released on weekends (Nick at Nite, TeenNick, Nick Jr. and Nicktoons do release program information for up to 7-10 days in advance, though this varies depending on the channel), so make sure to consult online listings or EPG guides daily. (TVtonightOKC (talk) 15:17, 28 December 2010 (UTC)).

Old School Nick is coming back?

Is it true that old-school Nickelodeon cartoons are coming back? Can it be true? Sometimes it can be false because people just edit it to just trick people into watching Nickelodeon. Looks true to me. This is a good time for all Nickelodeon fans. Some of the rerun cartoons can be deleted and be false. The New "Ed, Edd n Eddy" is "Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"

List on release year

Why was the page, "Nicktoons" deleted?

Now that Nicktoons has been deleted, it's very hard for me to find what I need to find. I have to dig very hard to get concrete info now. I don't see what was wrong with the original article. It only simplified things and added more information on Nicktoons. The template, in my opinion, should still be up for the same reasons. I'm (and I'm sure many others are, too) having a lot of frustration here. --Toonipedia (talk) 13:53, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Comedy = live action comedy?

I notice quite a few subsections for comedy. Are these sections intended to connote live-action comedy, and if so, shouldn't we be more specific? Funny cartoons are comedies too. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:13, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

I also don't understand the need for Preschool sections. Either Dora is animated, or it's not. What is the aim of this article? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:15, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

Proposal to re-think article organization

I'm making a proposal that this article be reconfigured, as there seem to be a hodgepodge of sections, instead of an ordered, intuitive list of data. For example, in Current > Original, we have a section for Animation, then later, a section for Preschool, which is mostly animation. So it seems to me that if we're going to lead with Animation, there should be two sub-sections, one for Preschool, and one for whatever is not preschool. For example:

Current programming
Original programming
Animation
Everything that isn't preschool (Need appropriate subsection title here)
Preschool
Live action
Comedy
Drama
Miscellaneous
Game shows
Educational
Mini-series and specials
Reality series

I also don't see why we need to keep track of series that are or were rebroadcast. Why on earth is that noteworthy? Looking forward to your thoughts about the section reordering, especially what we'd call the subsection under Animation that is not preschool. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:10, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks

Since there has been some revert warring on this issue lately, here's what's up: The scope of List of programs broadcast by Nickelodeon is to detail series airing on the network in the United States. The reference for the proposed 2015 ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks series says explicitly:

"In the run-up to MipTV, Nickelodeon has acquired two seasons of Alvinnn!!! and The Chipmunks and will roll it out on more than 70 international channels (excluding North America and Brazil) in early 2015."

(Emphasis mine.) For this reason, the data should not be added to the article. If the plan to air the series in North America changes, the content can be re-added, if and only if it is supported by a reliable source. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:43, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Thank you. In regard to the PGS reference, yes the logo is there but below you can see WW (EXCL. NORTHAM.&BRAZIL), in other words World Wide Excluding North America & Brazil. This is just about the most reliable source there is on the issue (besides Bagdasarian Productions). 70.145.125.73 (talk) 22:06, 27 June 2014 (UTC) - DEmersonJMFM on the Alvin and the Chipmunks Wiki
For whatever reason, that detail escaped my eye, until the clear edit summary written by Caldorwards4. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:51, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
I was pretty clear the first two times I removed the information. I had thought of explaining further here the second time, but I didn't see the need at the time since the edit summary was very clear both times. No one apparently read them. Sam & Cat Listing Confusion

Various users keep removing Sam & Cat from the current programs section, and placing it under reruns. They should only be doing this if all the episodes have aired, and if there was an official confirmation of Sam & Cat ending. --Jonathanjoseph81 (talk) 00:19, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

Live-action/comedy

I think twice now I've noticed the changing of "Live-action" or "Live-action comedy" to the pointless variation, "Live-action/comedy". A slash typically suggests an either/or relationship, and the slash is being misused in this regard, as one doesn't typically choose between live-action and comedy, and because the two concepts are not interchangeable. This has been submitted a few times by ChrisRock1998, for example here, where we also got the redundant "Live-action/comedy sitcoms", (redundant because the "com" in "sitcom" means comedy") and more recently here. Live-action is a programming format that encompasses numerous genre. You can have Live-action comedy, Live-action drama, Live-action reality show, etc. Based on how slashes are typically used, if you create a section for "Live-action/comedy" then it should include all live-action series, dramatic or otherwise, along with all comedy series, animated or otherwise. That makes it a pretty useless section because it categorizes nothing. For these reasons, I'm cutting this. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:35, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Date simplifications

Hi @Electricburst1996: I understand the emotional argument behind this reversion but I don't understand the practical argument. None of that content is sourced. There's no presumption of accuracy. Valentine's Day Mushfest, according to your preferred version, aired during the ambiguous date range: February 14, 1993 – February 14, 1996. Does that mean it aired every day between these dates, or that it only aired on February 14th of those years? Where are the sources? How do we know that Morning Mystery Pick aired between December 9, 2002 – January 3, 2003? And as asked on another talk page, what is the academic value to having the specific airdates? What value is delivered, particularly when there are no references? Year ranges would at least be easier to verify than Gotta See Saturdays (September 22, 2012 – April 27, 2013). I also think that most of this would never meet WP:V. Since nobody tracks reruns, how do you demonstrate that a rerun began on Day A and ended on Day B? Seems like you'd have to either find a document that promotes the "new" rerun, and then a document that announces the end. Using TV listings doesn't seem to be the way to go, because even if you found what you thought was the beginning of the run, that doesn't mean the show didn't air a week prior, a month prior, three months prior, a year prior. You'd basically have to check every TV listing that Nick printed, and at some point we're squarely in WP:OR territory. Thoughts? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:11, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

All politics about original research and re-runs aside, I want you to know that Phil A. Fry has a questionable editing history from what I've found, the details of which can be found at WP:ANI. ElectricBurst(Electron firings)(Zaps) 19:00, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

I Am Frankie and The Adventures of Kid Danger

I believe that both of these shows should be moved to the former programming section. Though "The Adventures of Kid Danger"'s current state is not set in stone, it could be deduced from the fact that the series has not been renewed after finishing its first season nearly a year ago that it will not be continuing. On the case of I Am Frankie, however, there is cited proof that this show will not be continuing, marked here. Cats and Abby are gone, I have a source

Stop undoing my edits, because I have a source that came from Nick themselves: https://www.nick.com/tv-schedule — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snesboy12 (talkcontribs) 20:24, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

That is completely WP:OR. Basically just saying, "It's not listed anywhere in the schedule which means it's officially cancelled."- That is why the Nick schedule is not to be used as a source. Please get a proper source supporting this, otherwise, wait until it's been a year since the last new episode has aired.
Same scenario can be seen regarding Deal or No Deal: People took this tweet as a source that show is cancelled. However, even though it makes it seem likely, saying that it is cancelled from a tweet saying an account is not active is WP:OR. An official announcement of its cancellaction can be used, or we can wait until one year since the last new episode aired. Magitroopa (talk) 20:34, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
No I'm not saying they're cancelled, they're just no longer on the schedule, so they should be moved to "Former Programming", since they're no longer airing. Snesboy12 (talk) 20:38, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
That is the point of the 'former programming' section, that they have actually ended. Still WP:OR for the reasons as stated above. See how Crashletes and The Dude Perfect Show were moved to the 'former programming section' one year after their last new episodes aired, May 3, 2019 and May 8, 2019, respectively. Either provide a reliable source that they have ended, or wait a year since the last new episode has aired. Otherwise, remains OR. Magitroopa (talk) 20:47, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Oh. OK, I'll move RBUK to the current programming then since it hasn't been a year yet since it's last new episode. Snesboy12 (talk) 20:50, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

TMNT and Winx notes

Old Edit: "Nickelodeon acquired the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise in 2009.[54] ViacomCBS owns the copyright to both the 2012 series and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but not the original 1987 cartoon."

My edit: "The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise was acquired for Nickelodeon in 2009. ViacomCBS retains the copyright to both the 2012 series and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Nickelodeon is the cable network ViacomCBS is the company that owns them. Thus, Viacom acquired TMNT for Nickelodeon. The original edit also omits the 2003 series out of pure bias.

Old Edit: "Nickelodeon Animation Studio produced the Winx Club revival series, made up of seasons 5-7, in co-development with Rainbow. ViacomCBS owns the copyright to these seasons and co-owns the Rainbow studio itself.

My edit: "Nickelodeon Animation Studio co-produces the Winx Club revival series, consisting of seasons 5-present, with Rainbow. ViacomCBS retains the copyright to these seasons and owns a stake in Rainbow through ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA"

The old edit even acknowledged that Rainbow is co-owned by ViacomCBS. If they co-own the studio and co-develop the series, then its a co-production. The old edit also neglects the eight season. Finally, ViacomCBS themselves don't own Rainbow; their stake in Rainbow is owned through their European division.

There was nothing confusing about my notes! MarcoPolo250 (talk) 15:34, 5 September 2020 (UTC)

To keep things easiest to read, I think it's better to just say the basics (we don't need to specifically say it was acquired for Nickelodeon by Viacom or mention the specific European division of Viacom). Even press releases about the TMNT deal use the wording "Nickelodeon acquired the global rights to [TMNT]" and articles about Viacom/Rainbow say "Viacom owns 30% of Rainbow" without going into the specifics of which division it is. The other thing that is a little confusing is tacking on ", with Rainbow" at the end, it flows better as "in co-development with Rainbow." Hammill Ten (talk) 15:58, 5 September 2020 (UTC)

Undiscussed new format?

Are we sure the new format of this page is in any way better? It wasn't discussed here before implementing. I can't easily navigate between the different types of shows (none show up in the table of contents), and all the notes are squished into a small end column instead of where they made sense (like after the last airdate for an airdate-related note). It's also a little confusing, using (barely sourceable) last-rerun-on-Nick dates instead of the shows' actual ending dates. FunhausFrank (talk) 09:55, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, I've been a bit iffy on it as well. The user also has done the same on List of programs broadcast by TeenNick and List of Nick Jr. original programming. Especially here, there's quite a few mass deletions of things (see some edits on September 5, 11, + 15). Definitely seems like a lot of changes that went undiscussed.
And just as an FYI, this is the same editor who has been changing the title of List of Nick Jr. original programming to List of programs broadcast by Nick Jr. twice already, even after being notified the name change was the result of a move discussion. Magitroopa (talk) 15:18, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
I undid the format change and mentioned the talk page in my Edit summary. Hopefully the editor will talk here before adding that kind of large-scale change. FunhausFrank (talk) 22:35, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

So... SpaceRacersFan14? Are you going to participate in this discussion, or what? The Grand Delusion(Send a message) 05:52, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

The reason why I did this is because I know that after the show's first run ended, that doesn't mean the show can stop airing on the network. Most old shows air reruns after their premieres stopped. The point of the programs list is to know what show first and last aired. I like the new format better. SpaceRacersFan14 (talk) 8:21, 16 September 2020 (ETC)

SpaceRacersFan14, please stop changing it just because you decided "it's better". These are massive changes and should be discussed, not just randomly decided by yourself. Please actually discuss the changes.

Personally, I will agree with FunhausFrank- there is no issue with the way it is currently formatted, and the types of shows are removed from the ToC. The 'reruns' is also not necessary/important (see WP:INDISCRIMINATE) and are entirely unsourced anyways (Basically is entirely original research at that point with no sources regarding reruns). There is no reason to keep changing it back to the new format, just because only you have decided, "it is better". This is WAY too much format changing that is undiscussed (apart from the above, but there wasn't even an agreement/consensus on it). Magitroopa (talk) 22:22, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

I've also just reverted back to previous versions on List of Nick Jr. original programming and List of programs broadcast by TeenNick. These massive formatting changes need to actually be discussed, not just decided upon by yourself because you claim it's better. Magitroopa (talk) 22:32, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Same done on List of programs broadcast by Nicktoons as well. Magitroopa (talk) 01:40, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

This article is such a mess...

Ok most of these shows are were pretty much quietly cancelled... Not gonna edit it since some one here can revert (Not gonna say who),Pretty sad that this article has been mostly a mess Court876 (talk) 14:06, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

As you've previously been told, a source needs to be provided in order to verify shows ending/being cancelled. None of this is 'misinformation' as you claimed here. Either provide a reliable source (one that isn't WP:NOTRS...) or wait a year since the last new episodes of shows (as pointed out in Template:Infobox television, "Only insert the last episode's date after it has happened. In some cases the fate of a program might be uncertain, for example if there are no announcements that a show has been renewed. If such a program has not aired a new episode in 12 months, "present" can be changed to the date the last episode aired, using End date. This does not imply the series has been cancelled, rather that the program "last aired" on that date. This is to prevent programs from being listed as "present" in perpetuity. In the event that a program resumes airing after a long hiatus, such as more than 12 months between episodes or cancellation and subsequent renewal, the date is simply replaced with "present" to reflect the "current" status of the program.")
As an example... if there is no source for Rusty Rivets ending within the next few months, then on May 9, 2021 it can be updated to reflect that the show has ended- as the last new episode(s) for that series appears to have aired on May 8, 2020. Magitroopa (talk) 14:17, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

The Roundhouse?

I very vaguely remember a sketch comedy show on Nickelodeon from the early 90s that was performed in a warehouse. The host of the show was a bald man in a wheelchair; the only sketch I remember was "Juicy Poot", a parody of the Juicy Fruit "It's gonna move ya" ads. Is this "The Roundhouse"?--Ian the Gecko 08:24, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I remember this show as well, the guy wasn't in a wheel chair, just in a motorized recliner. I also remember that they would end every show by saying "Repriese the theme and roll the credits!" Sometimes coming up with interesting ways of getting to it. ---DarthObvious

Status of animated projects

Are Man of the House, Meet the Voxels, and Adventures in Wonder Park truly coming out? News about them have been dead-silent. Raymondsze (talk) 02:31, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

California Dreaming

I have no idea whether or not we should move "California Dreaming" to Former programming. The official press release did not mention that it would be a full-fledged TV series, promoting it as an "event". And even though this may not be resourceful to the community, the parent of one of the actors in the special posted on Instagram that Nick did not pick the show up, leaving the pilot to be the only episode produced. I would assume that the norm would apply: simply leave it alone until after a year since it premiered. BrickMaster02 (talk) 03:56, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

NFL coverage

Now that the NFL coverage expanded into the regular season with the Christmas Day game should we reclassify and relist it?--CreecregofLife (talk) 17:49, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

Current state of some upcoming shows

I am felling skeptical of are we ever going to see shows like Adventure in Wonder Park or Meet the Voxels. There has been no official news on them, and don't believe any rumor that they are coming soon. Some of them were either finished, but never released for other reasons, or were never greenlit after the pilot. Raymondsze (talk) 22:38, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

Scope for this list

I believe that programs should be listed if they ever aired on Nickelodeon (with the exception of Nick at Nite, which has its own list). This is how it is currently set up, as evidence by shows like America's Funniest Home Videos and The Donna Reed Show. For the shows I want to specifically add, they are The Bad News Bears, Studio See, and Curious George; all of these have citations from various TV guides on newspapers. I do want to establish consensus, as I believe there is an inconsistency. @Magical Golden Whip: @BrickMaster02: (Oinkers42) (talk) 22:32, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

Oppose - This article for for Nickelodeon Original Programing. All the shows mentioned above and in the acquired sections [1] should not belong in this article, All the shows had their original run on a different network. In addition several of the shows are poorly sourced and are added with out references. Magical Golden Whip (talk) 22:55, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
So, you are going to remove almost all of the acquired section? Just double checking. Especially since no other entry in Category:Lists of television series by network works like that? (Oinkers42) (talk) 23:02, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
@Magical Golden Whip: Courtesy ping to Magical Golden Whip, just in case you did not see this. (Oinkers42) (talk) 12:58, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
I agree with you that the list should be restricted to "original programming". But, if so, should the article perhaps be moved, to List of Nickelodeon original programs? Note that this issue doesn't just affect this article – it affects pretty much the entire "List of programs broadcast by [X network]" which are all probably named incorrectly, in term of what the WP:SCOPE of those articles really are. --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:48, 9 November 2022 (UTC)

So just recently, Dana Simpson, the creator of Phoebe and Her Unicorn, released a statement saying that Nick won't move forward with the animated series adaptation, thinking that it wouldn't attract a male audience. Unfortunately, there isn't any reliable sources to use for this article (at least not yet I hope). There is a tweet from a cartoon news account, but they used Twitter Blue for the checkmark. @Magical Golden Whip, you reverted an edit on this, do you want to help elaborate and maybe get some others involved? BrickMaster02 (talk) 18:02, 29 December 2022 (UTC)

She didn’t release a statement. Someone took her Facebook post (which was set to an audience of Friends only) and posted it to Reddit or something and then picked up by Twitter users, including the cartoon community’s most looked to if not exactly source-friendly
But at the same time…we might never get an official public announcement for this sort of thing… 108.41.81.126 (talk) 07:15, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

Just adding a thought here - Wikipedia generally counts a show as “cancelled” after it's been a year without a premiere, so would that also apply here since it’s been over a year without any production update/confirmation? Even if the creator’s account doesn't count as a source, we could use that judgment here. FunhausFrank (talk) 04:36, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

https://anmtv.com.br/phoebe-and-her-unicorn-nickelodeon-cancela-adaptacao-animada-da-hq/ It looks like sources have started to pick up how the creator confirmed it was scrapped. As I said earlier, the fact there's been no production update in over a year is also a good reason to no longer list the show as upcoming/currently in production. FunhausFrank (talk) 01:56, 31 December 2022 (UTC)

Split Suggestion

As a lot of the [note2] under Current Original Animated programming are debuting on Paramount+ before coming to Nickelodeon (or having only 1 or 2 episodes appearing on Nickelodeon first), I'd suggest separating those shows from the rest. They can remain under the same heading, of Original Programming with the subheading title being "Animated (Nicktoons - from Paramount+) 194.80.233.40 (talk) 11:19, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

Would The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder be considered an acquired series?

Since The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder was originally released on Paramount+ first, doesn't that make it an acquired series? Shouldn't it be in the acquired programming section, rather than original programming on the List of programs broadcast by Nickelodeon? It premiered on Nickelodeon a month later, but the streaming service is its original network.

It's like how Monsters at Work premiered on Disney+ first, but on the List of programs broadcast by Disney Channel, it's in the acquired section.

Should Fairly Odder be moved? Peacerocker07 (talk) 22:55, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

The 'acquired' part is moreso regarding production company(ies). For example:
Where as Nickelodeon themselves (Nickelodeon Productions) produce The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, so it's not an acquired series- it just released/aired on their streaming service before airing on TV. I cannot speak as to why Monsters at Work would be listed under 'acquired' programming, though. Magitroopa (talk) 23:26, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

On the "see also" section, change Nick Jr. on CBS to Nickelodeon on CBS, although it was known by the Nick Jr. name for most of its existence, the Wikipedia page for it says Nickelodeon on CBS. Also, this article is about shows that aired on Nickelodeon and not just on Nick Jr. 2603:6081:893D:13AC:1028:EE06:1CC8:9107 (talk) 04:50, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
