Correct information?

[edit]

user:Kosterberg pinged me here alleging that all the information in the data table in the "Largest private equity firms by PE Capital" section was incorrect. He/she provided a version of the source from Private Equity International that is available publicly online here and said they have confirmed the error with the source itself (PEI). Everything seems to check out to suggest that all the data in the table is actually completely incorrect and either madeup or coming from a different source. Curious if anyone knows any reason for us not to correct it with what appears to be the correct data from the PDF link provided. CorporateM (Talk) 19:40, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

edited information is still incorrect

[edit]

Unfortunately, the anonymous edit to the rankings is incorrect. Again, they reference the PEI ranking but the true PEI ranking can be found here: https://www.privateequityinternational.com/uploadedFiles/Private_Equity_International/PEI/Non-Pagebuilder/Aliased/News_And_Analysis/2014/May/News/PEI%20300%202014.pdf

In the true PEI ranking, the top three firms are: 1. The Carlyle Group 2. Kohlberg Kravis Roberts 3. The Blackstone Group 4. and so on...

In the current Wikipedia page, the incorrect ranking is currently showing the top three firms as: 1. The Blackstone Group 2. Carlyle Group 3. TPG Capital 4. and so on...

Is it possible to replace the Wikipedia ranking with the true PEI ranking shown here: https://www.privateequityinternational.com/uploadedFiles/Private_Equity_International/PEI/Non-Pagebuilder/Aliased/News_And_Analysis/2014/May/News/PEI%20300%202014.pdf

Hi. Sorry, I looked into this previously, but it has since slipped my mind. Do you by any chance have time to put the correct information into wiki-code so it can be added to the article? I've included below a sampling of wiki-code. I will delete the erroneous information for now. The main problem this hasn't been done is because it takes quite a bit of labor to copy/paste all the data into proper wiki-code. Dthomsen8 (talk) 23:34, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

State of Incorporation

[edit]

I believe we should add 'State of Incorporation' as a new column after 'location' the two things are nearly always different and I would say is notable information. AAC Capital for example https://sec.report/CIK/Search/AAC Thelisteninghand (talk) 15:39, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
