List of presidents of Vietnam/ Two issues: Presidents of the Republic of Vietnam not included and call for removal of the national coat of arms

[edit]

Issue #1: The article does not include the presidents of the Republic of Vietnam. The title of the article is therefore misleading.

It has to be exactly, List of communist presidents of Vietnam.

The list only contains the name of:

1) the presidents of Democratic Republic of Vietnam (1945–76), i.e. of North Vietnam. Please note, that the republic was proclaimed by the communist Vietminh. The fact is, the communist Vietminh neither represents North Vietnam, nor South Vietnam, nor whole Vietnam. The "actual" Democratic Republic of Vietnam first exists in 1954, after the end of the french colonization. So, the date 1945 is also misleading.

2) the president of Republic of South Vietnam (1969–76), also called Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam (PRG), as mentioned in

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Provisional_Revolutionary_Government_of_the_Republic_of_South_Vietnam, see the following extract

" ..formed on June 8, 1969, by North Vietnam as a purportedly independent shadow country and provisional government that opposed the government of the Republic of Vietnam .. .. The PRG was recognized as the government of South Vietnam by most communist states. .."

It is more or less a bogus government, "born" by the communist North Vietnam, which exists, so to speak, on paper, just for justifying the war of conquest against the pro-western South Vietnam (aka Republic of Vietnam (1955-1975)). At this point one should take care, that Republic of South Vietnam and Republic of Vietnam are totally 2 different terms.

3) the presidents of Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1976–present), i.e. of the reunited Vietnam.

THE PROBLEM OF THE LIST IS: THE PRESIDENTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM (1955-1975) ARE FULLY MISSED IN THE LIST.

It will suggerate, the whole political system in Vietnam, from North till South, from 1945 till today, is exclusively and continuously communist-based. That is not the case.

Mention:

The history of Vietnam, i.e. of the whole Vietnam, includes different political systems, communist in the North, and pro-western (non-communist) in the South. The history does not begin with the withdrawal of the french colonialists and the seizure of power by the communist Vietminh in North Vietnam in 1954.

PROPOSAL:

Either the article will be renamed in List of communist presidents of Vietnam

or

the article will be extended with all the Presidents of the (pro-western) Republic of Vietnam.

The thing is, since 1945, the vietnamese communists are tireless claiming as the sole, legitimate representative of the reunited Vietnam. If we take a look at mainland China and Taiwan, there are similarities of both communist systems (Mainland China and reunited Vietnam), among other things, as far as the the claim of legitimity is concerned.

Issue #2: The national coat of arms depicted in the article has absolutely nothing to do with the contents of the article. The article deals with the (uncomplete) list of presidents of Vietnam, and not with any national coat of arms, neither from the current Vietnam nor from Vietnam in the past.

As example of a so called FAIR-MINDED article with a similar context one can see the article:

List of presidents of Germany, https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_presidents_of_Germany.

>> The list also includes the (communist) German Democratic Republic (East Germany) (1949–1990).

>> No national coat of arms is depicted in the article.

SUMMARIZED: WIKIPEDIA should be kept as scientifically based information system. Scientifically based in relation to the to technical as well to political science. If the one begins with "untrue" news, the other will "react" to these news. But sometimes "fake" news exist forever. And the readers will someday believe, these "fake" news are true. I guess, this is NOT the aim of WIKIPEDIA to help the propagation of such untrue information.

On Wikipedia we should need more facts and less myths.
