which plants are still operational?
[edit]I am confused by the column "Operations", that would for example indicate, that South Ukraine is no longer working, which is definitely not the case. This should be clarified --Wuerzele (talk) 22:08, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- The year refers to the commissioning date, that is, when the plant first started operating. In the following table, the "operational" period is the range of years during which the plant remained in service. In the case of South Ukraine, the three units were commissioned over an eight year period. For Zaporizhia, the first five were commissioned between 1985 and 1989, and the sixth in 1995.--Graham Proud (talk) 00:46, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. Now a similar issue remains for the hydroelectric plant table where the column header is called "Year of built" ? Looks like Commission date and period of operation respectively, but obviously too long to fit. inserted [further explanation needed]. I suppose the missing commission/operation years for coal power plants are hard to find/ assemble? That would be very interesting information, though...--Wuerzele (talk) 05:10, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
- You are most welcome. I added some references to get the ball rolling. We should probably split out the Pumped Storage plants from the conventional Hydro plants. If you are local you might be better to sort things out from there!--Graham Proud (talk) 03:34, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
