It is my considered opinion that villages should have their own listing. There are so many of them and there is no way to differentiate on this list which are towns and which villages. Cp List of villages in East Sussex (a category) Peter Shearan15:41, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have just completed work on bringing the category:Villages in East Sussex up-to-date; and am now going to tackle West Sussex in the same way. It certainly makes more sense than having, eg East Wittering on this list without any article to back it up!!! I hope that, by doing this work, I am at least making the two parts of Sussex have some cohesion. This list hereon needs a definite step to include places on it, whereas the Category:Villages in West Sussex does not Peter Shearan16:06, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a thorough scan of West Sussex and added a number of places with their own articles. Listed below are places which do not have their own articles - should they be included in the list anyway (as red links can be useful for highlighting articles needed)? Most are very small, and some are mentioned in articles on nearby, larger settlements or parishes.
