Why have 'Bands based in Colorado' here ?

[edit]

under Musicians section we have Big Head Todd and the Monsters, The Fluid , and Yonder Mountain String Band. Because someone recorded an album here it is on the list why ? Going to their linked article, no one has a band member notable enough to have their own individual article. Why not have Cream on the list since Ginger Baker lives in Colorado ? How can you not list Byron "Whizzer" White

[edit]

Byron "Whizzer" White was a college All-American from Colorado, Heisman Trophy runner up, Rhodes Scholar, once the highest paid NFL football player, and US Supreme Court Justice. Quite the impressive resume to be left off the paltry list of Colorado natives...

Your absloutely right. Editor19841 23:05, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What about the South Park guys? They're pretty famous.

We could add a "fictional Coloradans" section. Thanks for the suggestion. Editor19841 23:47, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe Condolizza Rice is either from Denver or lived in Denver, as she attended Denver University. Those of us from Colorado know a few more people from here as well (Although I myself don't know very many others.) Phobos Anomaly

Infamous Coloradans

[edit]

I noticed that Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold aren't on the list, and they are certainly well known for their crimes. Since persons who merely attended university in Colorado are on the list, another infamous figure who might qualify is Sayed Qutb.

What about everyday people?

[edit]

??????????????

Tom Tancredo

[edit]

I am not American and consequently do not know much about this man but I saw his name noted as a controversial figure. Wikipedia articles about 2008 candidates are continuously vandalised. Is he really controversial or is it just put there by a troll in an attempt to jeopardise his reputation? Baldrick90 22:29, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tancredo has gained some notoriety in recent years for his strong views on illegal immigration, and ran a (brief) campaign for the U.S. presidency based largely on those views. I don't know if that makes him any more controversial than any other politician, though - he received only minor attention on the national stage during his presidential run. I'm admittedly not a big fan of his, but I wouldn't consider him specifically "controversial" either. Duncan1800 (talk) 01:33, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nikola Tesla

[edit]

What about Nikola Tesla?

Artists vs. visual artists

[edit]

Is there any reason that these two can't be combined? The three people listed under Artists are painters, but there are painters under Visual artists as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.120.68.205 (talk) 23:20, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
