Pre-1894 Executions

[edit]

What is the source of the pre-1894[1] executions? I am a descendant of William Potter, executed in 1662, and have researched his history but I don't see a citation for the older execution data. Cheers! —Tod Robbins (talk) 18:12, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This seems to be based in Espy's list

[edit]

I added William Plaine missing in Espy's list, although he is well-known as an early death penalty case in Ct. I found there is a whole book on the subject that lists 158 cases. So this should be included. The Solemn Sentence of Death: Capital Punishment in Connecticut. Lawrence B. Goodheart. 2011. https://books.google.se/books?isbn=1558498478 Nlight2 (talk) 16:17, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Forgot to mention, I am puzzled about how to reset the counter when one adds a new case. Nlight2 (talk) 16:18, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
