  • part of Lawsona/Fern Creek (Lawsona portion)
  • part of Park Lake/Highland (Park Lake portion)
  • part of South Division
  • South Eola

1920s-30s deannexations

[edit]

The north 3/4 of the west 1/4 of section 18 (part of Rose Isle/Orwin Manor) was added to Orlando on November 30, 1925, by Chapter 11660, but removed the next day by Chapter 11662 (which added the northwestern part of College Park). The 1927 city code says that it was reannexed on March 31, 1926 by city ordinance, but the 1948 city code says that "the city was later ousted from this territory by a judgment of the Circuit Court of Orange County, under a writ of quo warranto filed by the Attorney General". It was practically all reannexed in 1999 and 2004.

The southwest 1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of section 12 was added on June 10, 1935 by Chapter 17636, but (per the 1948 city code) it was soon deannexed. A July 1935 map of Orlando shows this as "that part of Winter Park taken into Orlando city limits". It is now back in Winter Park.

The south 1/2 of the southeast 1/4 of the northwest 1/4 of section 2 (bounded by Harding/Grant/Division/Parramore) was included in the 1923-25 expansion, but was gone by July 1935. It was reannexed in 1960 and 1969.
