Revision

[edit]

I'm currently re-creating this list to include much more detail. I hope to finish by the end of January, 2012.

Revisions

[edit]

User:NE2 noted that the city of Glen St. Mary was incorrectly omitted from this list, and the city of Islandia was abolished by the Miami-Dade County Commission effective March 16, 2012. I have made the necessary changes. Mgrē@sŏn (Talk) 15:34, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good. It might make sense to mention Islandia as the most recent disincorporation (and specify that Loxahatchee Groves is the most recent incorporation). Actually, a list of former municipalities would be useful. Any idea how I'd go about creating such a list? I know that early on everything was handled by the legislature. --NE2 16:04, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Paxton and Polk City

[edit]

According to the census, these are towns. Their websites call them cities. Anyone know for sure? --NE2 15:44, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Apopka is Out of Order

[edit]

The Rank column is supposed to refer to rank in terms of population. Apopka is out of order: It was ranked 124 when it should be 60. So I fixed the ranks. How come someone undid my fix?Inkan1969 (talk) 22:10, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK, for some reason, the "Rank" column is not working properly. I edited the Rank column using the beta version, where I changed the header box to a content box, fixed the rank, and then changed it back to a header box. I don't understand why that would not make the rank correct. But the rank numbers I put in are definitely the correct ranks. Just undoing my fix will put Apopka in the wrong order again. Can someone fix both the problem with the Rank column and keep Apopka's rank correct?Inkan1969 (talk) 22:15, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed this now by editing the source instead of using beta. I wish beta was more straightforward.Inkan1969 (talk) 01:19, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Looks like beta is trying to be smarter than humans and failing. --NE2 01:53, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
