Oprah interview with meghan and harry ?

[edit]

Oprah interview with meghan and harry will definitely make the top ten, does any1 have the figures?

Television views aren't real views

[edit]

Views on this list are based on "television views" meaning someone could switch channel for less than 2 seconds and it still be classed as a view. This lends credit to twitter video view metrics as they hold equal value if not more so than television views. 223.252.34.55 (talk) 22:05, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Twitter is not television. If you want to create a page of most watched Twitter interviews, go right ahead. It doesn't belong here. Sillvva (talk) 22:08, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nice goalpost shifting. You first talked about how twitter views don't count because a view is triggered as long as it's watched for 2 seconds. Yet you can make the same argument for Television views, as another user pointed out. You've actually provided zero legitimate reasons on why Tate's interview wouldn't count. Is a series shown on Netflix not a TV show? 141.157.253.120 (talk) 22:30, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Videos auto play on twitter, scrolling past counts as a view.
Regardless this section is LIVE view numbers, i.e. how many people or TVs were tuned in during the live interview being broadcast for a specific duration, usually 1/3rd of the length of the interview.
Netflix is TV, YouTube is not, but Youtube Red may count as television. Hell if it was youtube live or twitter live you MAY have an argument, but as stated previously, twitter views do not constitute view or any interest, just that it showed up on timeline.
Moreover, the list of views being LIVE BROADCAST VIEW NUMBERS means also likely the top 10 list shown, each interview likely was watching 2 times more by other people not live, for example the michael jackson interview likely has over 200 million actual views. But this isn't a list quantifying every view, just LIVE BROADCAST VIEWS ON LIVE TELEVISION.
You people just want to make a mockery of it, get over it tates not going to kiss you on the lips. Rambleciz (talk) 14:33, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's not how figures are calculated. See this for example [1] Knitsey (talk) 22:15, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

why is andrew tate interview deleted?

why is andrew tate interview deleted? 2600:8801:FF08:900:C040:88C1:ACC9:CBFC (talk) 07:03, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Because the article is for televised interviews. Twitter isn't a TV braodcast. It says at the top of the article. Knitsey (talk) 07:10, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Twitter is not television and views on twitter just means someone scrolled past the tweet, not that they watched the interview. There is no view metric for watch time or wmhos many left the video play so long. 2001:56A:F8B4:4D00:BD2A:860B:F85E:85AB (talk) 12:55, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Andrew Tate and Tucker Carlson interview that premiered on twitter on 12/7/2023 is the number 1 most watched interview of all time at 80 million views. This has been removed for unknown reasons but as Wikipedia prides itself in providing factual information it needs to be added back. 27.96.218.229 (talk) 07:31, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Old references to be rescued?

The original version of this page has more references than the current version. I'll try and find some of them and re-implement. Deauthorized. (talk) 08:33, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This page as it stands covers only the subset of all interviews published on television. Since television is no longer the only form used for modern media and journalism, and it's possibly not even the most popular technology for transmitting interviews anymore, either:

A) this page should be changed to not focus on only television interviews or

B) there should be a related page linked from this one that covers the most watched interviews in any media.

What is interesting when comparing interviews is the number of people influenced by viewing the interview, not the particular delivery format used to transmit the interview, so I advocate for option A. PushyPush (talk) 08:34, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, there should be a separate article for interviews other than TV broadcasts. That would be a good project for you. Knitsey (talk) 08:54, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Wiki prides itself on being accurate and truthful and yet wiki removed the interview because it’s not a TV viewed program. I hate to insult anyone’s intelligence but can you please read the literal definition of television- a system for transmitting visual images and sound that are reproduced on screens, chiefly used to broadcast programs for entertainment, information, and education. Now when will Andrew tate’s record be added back at number one?? 2603:7080:2F03:C414:819E:6702:E534:E74B (talk) 02:43, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Tate is a Television interview l

[edit]

Please do not discredit Andrew Tate and tucker Carlson’s work saying it’s not a television interview, it is. Quite literally I guess the list should be called most viewed electric power-corded television interview’s. Because again wiki please lookup the definition of television before denying something merely because you dont like it 2603:7080:2F03:C414:819E:6702:E534:E74B (talk) 02:50, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
