Linking acronyms

[edit]

Per WP:ACRONYM, acronyms should be spelled out the first time they are used so that a reader unfamiliar with the subject doesn't have to click through to understand what the text is about. This may not be practical for a list article, but pipelinking the acronym allows the reader to hover over he acronym and learn its meaning, instead of having to click through. Spelling out acronyms in pipelinks doesn't take up any significant space, and there is no shortage of space in Wikipedia. Ground Zero | t 19:11, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that party names are spelled out in full below the graph on top of the page. I added the short names there, this probably satisfies WP:ACRONYM. Place Clichy (talk) 10:27, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. That's better. Ground Zero | t 00:58, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccuracy

[edit]

The title and lede of this article are wrong. Per the Hellenic Parliament website, members of the Greek Parliament lose their office at the termination of the parliamentary term ("There are many reasons why an MP may forfeit from office, such as decease, resignation, the termination of a parliamentary term, the annulment of their election by virtue of a Special Highest Court ruling and the forfeiture from parliamentary office."). The Greek Constitution in article 53 defines that after the parliamentary term termination the President proclaims elections. For the June 2012 elections the proclamation was published on 19 May 2012, so this article should be called "List of members of the Hellenic Parliament, May 2012". As for the Parliament, it first convened after the May 2012 elections on 17 May 2012, so it actually only lasted two days, not a month as the lede claims. --Ferengi (talk) 02:19, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
