I have attempted to indicate Masaccio's artistic production in a chronological order, showing his style and technique development as represented by some of his most famous work and frescoes. I'm continuing to post new references and citations, including them in the comments: the task is laborious (as much of his output is damaged and visually hard to render) but ultimately rewarding, given the importance of this Italian artist for successive painters, such as Michalangelo.--Monozigote (talk) 21:41, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Monozigote: I know the list is chronological but is there any significance to the number column? If it's not based on something specific and explained like numbering in a famous source or a complete list of paintings selected by an authoritative source then I think the numbers should go. You're right, numbers should go. I put them for "easy reference" in case someone should quote them individually, in a note or ref. no. Twelve years later, I cannot recollect the precise reason. Ciao. Monozigote (talk) 15:01, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the number column.[1] PrimeHunter (talk) 19:47, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
