Abbotsford Regional Hospital?

[edit]

I live in Abbotsford and the name is Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre! RebaFan1996 (talk) 19:59, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Health Authority

[edit]

Ideally we would add an additional column to list the health authority. — MaxEnt 20:24, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ideas for future improvement

[edit]

Some ideas that I've come up with for future improvements to the list:

  • Legend that denotes whether a hospital no longer exists
Partly done, I added a "(defunct)" addendum after the names. If need be, I'll create a full on legend.
  • Add missing hospitals and health centres as outlined by respective regional authorities
Partly done, I added missing hospitals and fixed the names. There may be issues about what's considered a hospital (extended care facility, community health centre).
  • Add citations as to where information is coming from
 Done, added 'em.
  • Possibly add more religious hospitals similar to that of the Mennonite one? I'm not sure how many religious hospitals exist in BC that aren't affiliated with Providence Health.
So, I separated out a few of 'em. I'll keep looking for others.
  • Add trauma centre rating if applicable?
I'm unable to find definitive RS for any of them except for the big hospitals. The listings on the Wikipedia articles have no sources for their levels.

Riverview Hospital (Coquitlam) & Provincial Assessment Centre

[edit]

Riverview Hospital (Coquitlam) is closed and the building is demolished. [1] The Red Fish Healing Centre for Mental Health and Addiction has been opened on the old site of Riverview. Should the name of the item in the list be changed from Riverview Hospital to Red Fish Healing Centre for Mental Health and Addiction? Potentially. However, I don't see it being classified as a hospital, rather a treatment centre. — Your local Sink Cat (The Sink). 05:14, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Sink Cat, They are legally a hospital and they have inpatient beds. ThatIPEditor They / Them 03:46, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
