Only bands with articles at the moment

[edit]

Only bands with articles at the moment, can be added to the list and i will delete ones with out flags or a red url. METALFREAK04 11:13, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Autopsy has elements of grindcore but is not a grindcore band

[edit]

Autopsy are not a grindcore band. They weave in and out of grind a bit on their later work, particularly Shitfun, but I think it would be inaccurate to place them in this section. 144.162.230.86 (talk) 19:16, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"including bands that perform in grindcore fusion genres"

[edit]

i'm not sure how the bit is pov. the majority of bands listed play deathgrind, deathcore, or even a mix of jazz and grindcore, with sources in band articles to support this. 68.220.78.96 (talk) 22:53, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Flags

[edit]

Contravenes MOS:FLAG. The icons shouldn't be used as decoration, and need the country names added at least the first time they're used on a page. As this, by definition, means they have no information content in and of themselves, they must be purely decorative, so should not be used. Also, note that many users may not recognise countries by their flags. Blackmetalbaz (talk) 23:31, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grindcore Bands

[edit]

I'm pretty new to the whole Wikipedia editing thing, so I have no idea how to edit the list. I do have some band suggestions, though. If someone could edit these into it for me, that would be much appreciated.

Here's a few more I can think of, but I don't know if they have articles or not: Torsofuck, Wormrot, and I Declare War (They're technically deathcore, but they have a strong grindcore influence.)

Also, I disagree with classifying a few bands on this list as grindcore: As I Lay Dying (They're one of the leading bands in the metalcore scene.), The Red Chord (I've only listened to a few of their songs, but I didn't hear any deathcore influence in them.), Underoath (how anyone could even consider them grindcore is beyond me, they're more hardcore than anything, though they can almost be considered metalcore.), and See You Next Tuesday (Once again, I've only heard a few of their songs, but they didn't have a grindcore feel.)

Also, since this is a discussion thread about grindcore, Torsofuck recorded a 60 track album on February 26th and 27th and they're going to release it in a few months. I personally think that this is a bad idea, because they didn't spend much time on recording, and it's probably going to sound like crap. I wouldn't be so worried about it, but Torsofuck is one of the first bands people hear about when they get into grindcore. If they have 60 crappy songs out there, and people listen to them before they get to other bands, they're not going to want to look into the rest of the grindcore bands. WE MUST STOP THEM BEFORE THEY KILL THE GENRE! MUAHAHAHAHA! And all that stuff.

The Underoath listing is for the Changing of Times album. If consensus feels one album is insufficient, feel free to remove the band from the list.

Completely forgot about that album, my apologies. Jazar94 (talk) 15:23, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, I agree that Underoath are not really grindcore, and AILD are iffy, but I'm going with sources over my own opinion. If you want me to I can help teach you how to edit the list.--3family6 (talk) 17:17, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Attention: The above album title is wrong, I meant to refer to the Define the Great Line album, my bad--3family6 (talk) 18:36, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Wiggles, The Doodle Bops, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande

[edit]

Are we forgetting about the brutal breakdown on Fruit Salad by The Wiggles that had a boy decapitated in the moshpit? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CECC:170:F998:C6B8:D38D:33F5 (talk) 03:05, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Who let their aunt make this list?

[edit]

I'll admit I laughed a lot reading this list but seriously someone should feel pretty ashamed about it. The Wiggles comment below made my day, pretty accurate to how absurd many of these bands being in here is. If you go to a band's page and they don't say anything about being grindcore you could confirm this yourself, which is probably what you should do since you have absolutely no idea what in hell you are talking about. Lmao. 69.174.173.66 (talk) 04:24, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

How about adding agoraphobic cvnt autopsy to it?

[edit]

they have a website to be fair. Not reliable tho (Link: https://agoraphobiccvntautopsyofficialnews.wordpress.com/)

There is a Google search to confirm they are Grindcore and exists (source: https://www.google.com/search?q=agoraphobic+cvnt+autopsy)

also RYM: https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/agoraphobic-cvnt-autopsy

If there is anymore I need to add. Please tell me Drunkenyosuke (talk) 01:47, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
