Categories contains "Articles containing potentially dated statements from November 2011". That should read November 2010, but I think I've updated everything. Review? 75.202.142.52 (talk) 13:40, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

First female governor?
[edit]Per this Albuquerque Journal article, Secretary of State Soledad Chávez Chacón assumed the powers of the governor during June and the first week of July 1924, after the death of the lieutenant governor and upon the departure of the governor from the state (to attend the Democratic National Convention in New York).
However, the list doesn't appear to show any other pro tem governors in the list. So, I have two questions:
- Does Chacón deserve a mention in the notes section of Hinkle's term, because she was the first woman to serve in the capacity of governor?
- Do we need to qualify Susana Martinez as the first woman elected to the office of governor? See the comment from the historian in the Journal article about there not being such a thing as an "acting governor."
I want to get some wider consensus on what to do with this. I'm leaning toward including a note but not qualifying Martinez's description. —C.Fred (talk) 14:52, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
