Free funk, while possibly a term unfamiliar to you, is a legitimate genre within the jazz idiom. If other genres can enjoy their own list of musicians, why can't free funk? (Mind meal06:55, 25 June 2007 (UTC))[reply]
I'm not sure about "free funk" being a legitimate genre; see my comments at Talk:Free funk. I think this is a classification that Allmusic invented, but that does not make it a genre (at least, not outside of the Allmusic universe). -- Gyrofrog (talk)15:39, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
