List rearrangement
[edit]Hello all,
I spent a good bit of time rearranging the list of fishes by family to fit with Bentancur-R et al (2016)'s most recent arrangement of fish higher level systematics. Fish pages seem to be all over the place in terms of using Nelson (2006), Near et al (2012; pretty much the same as Bentancur) or Grande et al 2017. I think the arrangement of headings still needs some work if someone with more experience is willing to help. Additionally, there are some taxa I was surprised to see absent from the list (eg. Argyropelecus) and I think further verification of taxa would help flesh out this list.
Thanks! —User:Frable 10:41, 01 March 2018 (PST)

image caption
[edit]I just removed the image of the old Irish Florin from the top of the article because of copyright concerns, but wanted to make sure that the caption was available in case it made sense to integrate the information into the article in another way:
- "The Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) appears on the old Irish florin coin, and also on the later ten-pence coins. It also features in the famous Irish legend of the Salmon of Knowledge." ★ Bigr Tex 21:34, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
